I leave and go over to my room. When I get over there I shut and lock my door. I put my back to the door and slowly slide down it as the tears find their way out of my body. I've also learned not to cry when being around her. She always had the same response "if you don't stop crying I'll give you something to cry about." After the first few times, I've learned not to cry while around her. I stay on the floor and I let the tears fall, my room was the only place I could let out my emotions. So when I was there I let it happen. I was there for another few minutes or so and I then get up and get my clothes together and I leave.
I walk out of the house as quietly and quickly as I can. I get out to my car and start it up and I drive away. The closer I get to Liv's the more I forgot to message her. I pull to the side of the road and text her.
Me: Hey I left about five minutes ago be there soon.
Liv: OK Serena's here to
Me: OK
Liv: we got a movie to watch then
Me: OK that's fine
Liv: OK hurry back
After reading her latest response I start driving again. It takes roughly about fifteen minutes to get to her house. Once I get there I grab my phone and I look at my face before I go in. I have a partial handprint on the side of my face. I turn the car off and head inside. When I walk in it's quiet at first then I hear them talking in the living room. As I walk in they both get quiet and just stare at me.
"What are you staring at?"
"Your face," Liv says
"Wow, thanks, Liv."
"No, you have something on your face its all red," Sarena says
"Yeah, what is that?"Liv questions
" its nothing. "
"What is it?"
"It's umm... Erm ... My mom got mad." I stammer through
"And." They both say
"And what?"
"What happened?"
" she just hit me. It was my fault anyway. "
They both continue to stare at me.
"Can we please watch the movie?"
" yeah. " they both say with a worried look on their faces.
"Oh yeah did either you watch the video I sent you."
"No, not yet, why?" Liv says
"Oh well you might wanna."
"Why?"
"It has to do with the fire."
Not having to explain anything they both take their phones out and start watching the video. When they're done watching they both look at me with gaping looks on their faces.
"So it was Macc?"Liv asks
" I guess so."
"We have to turn this in," Sarena says
"NO"
"Why people are starting to think you did it," Liv says
"We need more evidence than this."
"And how do you plan to do that."
"I don't know but we'll figure it out together. But first lets message Space Jesus and watch this movie."
They both look at me and smile at my obvious change of subject. We all go and get snacks and drinks. I take out my phone and text Space Jesus (Emily). We all sit on the couch and wait. For Emily and suddenly there is a knock at the door. I go over to the door and open it.
"Macc?"
