Fire Hazard🔥🔥

Chapter 24

                  *Recap*
  " i could loose some weight." I thought to myself. I grabbed my headphones and ran outside. I ran for about two hours and I accomplished about fifteen miles. Wasnt as good or as far but it was something. I jogged back up the hill to my house and ran inside and grabbed a bottle of water.
    I decided to grab an apple and run upstairs and lay down for a little seeing as how its six I didn't think my mom would care. I layed up there and took about two bites of the apple before throwing it away. I played on my phone for about two hours and ended up falling asleep

   I wake up to a binging on my phone, Multiple bings. I picked up my phone and winced at the brightness of it.

Liv: hey where are you?

Sarena: we need you like now.

Macc: Alexis I'm so so so so so sorry.

Liv: its about Macc come to the burned building we'll explain it

Sarena: meet us at the building

Macc: please forgive me i'm so sorry Alexis you don't understand. I didn't mean for this to go this far.

     I looked at the time a mere ten minutes have passed since they sent them. I jumped out of bed and grabbed a random sweatshirt to cover my body and changed into a pair of clean pants and ran out of the house. Not remembering my keys I decided to run. Its what I did best and I was fast at it. It took about fifteen minutes to get there but once i did i was surprised.
    I slowly crept up to the side of the building peering in with flash backs from that night. It was horrifying but it wasn't that important. What I was curious about was, why were Liv, Sarena and Macc standing in the building. I walked in the burnt wood crunching beneath my feet. They all looked straight toward me.

"Whats going on?" Was all I could muster out.

"Macc has a few things she needs to tell you," Liv said emphasizing few.

"What is it?"

"I'm sorry Alexis I never wanted this to happen like this," Macc said trying to apologize.

"Macc, it's fine what happened?"

" It's my fault."

"What is?"

"Everything."

"What do you mean everything?"

"The building caught fire. The marching band incident. All of it."

"Why?" I was shocked but couldn't say anything else.

"We were messing around and Natalie wanted to start a fire and she was drunk. She left to get fire starter and when she ran through the building she dropped it and some of it spilled and when she got outside and she spilled it everywhere."

"I'm not seeing as to how this is your fault."

"We were stupid and drunk I saw what she did but still threw the match to start it. When it happened it was so quick and everyone just started to scream. It was horrifying we didn't know what to do so we ran and. . . "

"And what?"

"We stopped in the bushes and we saw you running into the fire trying to help people and when it exploded the first time your face looked horrified and then the second time. When they carried you away I didn't know how to feel or what to say. You already had the gasoline all over you from running in and Natalie was long gone."

"So you're saying you let me take the blame for YOUR FUCKING MISTAKE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW LONG I'VE BEAT MYSELF UP FOR THIS."

"I know I know it's just the one day you said about taking the blame and them running out of class to the bathroom and my friends said they heard someone in the stall. And then there was a newly found video with evidence and I figured you already knew it was me."

"What's this have to do with anything? "

"Marching band."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm the reason Natalie tripped you. She was getting in trouble because you weren't a push over like you usually are and you turned her in. I knew you had the video and her doing what she did was supposed to scare you from talking."

   Liv and Sarena just stood there quiet taking it all in. Not a peep came from either of them. I looked at them and a tear fell over the brim of my eye. I looked at them then a Macc and before I knew what i was doing i slapped her across the face.

I was mad. So mad I started screaming at her,"SO  YOU LET ME TAKE THE BLAME AND BEAT MYSELF UP OVER SOMETHING YOU DID." I rolled up my sleeves. "I WANTED TO DIE. I KNEW NOTHING GOOD WAS COMING MY WAY IF I WAS FOUND GUILTY I DIDN'T WANT TO BE HERE. I WAS SCARED AND NOW THAT I KNOW MY SO CALLED BEST FRIEND IS THE REASON FOR ALL OF IT."

   I turned around and walked over to a wall and started crying. I fell to my knees and started crying into my hands. I heard two footsteps. Liv and Sarena slowly made there way toward me. They sat next to me. We stayed like that for about ten minutes before i stood up and saw Macc standing there crying.

"I usually wouldn't say this," I said it so calm it scared me." But fuck you, I beat myself up since it happened and you stood by and watched it all happen."

    I turned around and looked at Liv and Sarena, then back to Macc.

   "Don't even speak to me anymore, you mean nothing to me."

  With this, I turned around.  I felt her hand on my shoulder but I shrugged it off and looked at Liv and Sarena.

  "I'm sorry."

    With that I quickly ran off. I ran so fast i didn't know where I was going but it wasn't home. I don't think I have one of them anymore. But i ran until I couldn't run anymore.  I stopped in front of a place that I was awfully familiar with. I walked up and knocked on the door. As I waited I heard the door click open and as I turned around I came face to face with a face I thought i'd never see again.
