Rick didn't decide to throw Morgan out just then. Instead he gave his old friend a warning and told him that letting anyone go like that who posed a continuing threat was unacceptable. That if Morgan found himself in that situation then he needed to bring someone in who was comfortable doing what was necessary. I could tell the meeting had rocked Morgan to his core. He excused himself quickly and disappeared out the front door.

I glanced at the others but they didn't appear to have anything else to say so I followed him out the door. I stepped up to the porch railing and braced my hands against it. I wanted to go back to the wall. I had allowed myself to doze for an hour or so and that was enough to keep my going. I wasn't going to be able to sleep with Daryl, Abraham and Sasha out there.

I looked out to the trees beyond the wall. From here I couldn't hear or see the walkers. From here it looked as though I could just walk out the front gate and go find them and bring them back home. I scrubbed at my eyes. They were tired and gritty feeling.

The door opened behind me but I didn't turn around. I heard Rick's cowboy boots and Michonne's light tread. They stepped up beside me. Michonne stood stiffly gazing out at the community looking troubled. I was pretty sure that meeting was rougher on her than she realized it was going to be. It was hard to damn someone for doing the morally right thing. But we didn't live in a world where we could afford the luxury of moral principles. We lived in the real world.

Rick mimicked my posture, gazing out at the trees, his shoulders tight with tension and stress. After a few moments he spoke. "If we could somehow get outside the walls, get back to our cars at the quarry we could use them to draw the herd away."

I nodded, turning my focus away from the moral grey area we were all living in to a more manageable problem. Like the Walker herd surrounding our fences twenty walkers deep. "It wouldn't be tough to get one or two over the wall as long as they know what they're doing," I said.

Michonne frowned and stepped closer. "We could set up more watch points, coordinate the shooting of guns and flares so we could pull them out in even directions."

"It won't take even that much. A single distraction at one of the corners should be enough to slip through."

Rick nodded and arched a brow at me. "You volunteering?"

I looked sideways at him and a smirk tugged at the corner of my mouth. "Try and stop me."

"I figured," he laughed and nodded. "All right, you and me will go over the wall. We can get all our people on it. Carl, Tara, Rosita, Carol..."

Michonne leaned towards us frowning. "What about everybody else?" she asked, her disapproval clear on her face.

Rick cleared his throat. "Let's just keep this to our own for now."

"Really?" Michonne asked in disbelief.

Rick turned around so he was facing her and leaned back against the railing crossing his arms over his chest. He was not going to be moved on this. I didn't blame him. If I was going over the wall I didn't want one of the civilians watching my back. "If we had the time to bring people along sure. But we haven't had a chance to catch our breath."

"Really?" she asked again as though she couldn't believe the words coming out of Rick's mouth. "We're in here together. We're catching our breath right now. Anything else is just excuses."
