“Hey!” shouted a voice startling me out of my thoughts, making me flinch. The branch cracked under my movement and I landed on the ground with a  loud thump.

I rolled over and stood up in a few swift movements. I turned to where the voice came from and saw the dark haired girl from last night standing a few feet away wide-eyed.

“What?” I asked bitterly.

“Well first off I was going to say thanks for killing those hellhound. Second-”

I rolled my eyes as I interrupted, “ I meant why are you staring at me? It’s creepy.”

“You didn’t let me finish. I was going to say second you kind of just fell out of a tree and you seem completely fine.” she said.

I smirked. Then I looked back at the tree I just fell from. It seemed perfectly fine. Yet it couldn’t be, this was the third time this had happened. Something was going on. My thoughts must have shown in my face because the girl started talking.

“Would you shut up?” I interrupted again. She did shut up so I started walking away but he grabbed my arm to stop me. Just to show her I could take her down if she wanted to take me to that camp, I flipped her. While she was still shocked with surprise I walked away.
