Chapter 26 (Simon's pov)

"Where's Joey?" I ask, looking around the party for the dreamy dirty blond, green-eyed boy of my dreams.

"Open your present from us," Alex says, nodding to a tall box by my stuff. I look at him, then to the box.

"But what about my Joe?" I ask, feeling sad.

"Just open the present," Alex says impatiently.

I sigh and go over to the box.

The box is covered with red wrapping paper with gold ribbon. I grab an end of the ribbon and pull it. The sides of the box collapse, causing me to jump back from it.

Standing in the middle of the box is Joey. He's only in a pair of really sexy red boxers. I feel my mouth water as my eyes roll up and down his body slowly, taking him all in.

Joey steps out of the box, his arms crossed over his chest. He looks uncomfortable, until Austin hands him a pair of shorts, which is taken gladly by Joey.

I run over and jump into his arms, happy to have my mate here with me. He catches me with ease and kisses me gently.

"Všechno nejlepší k narozeninám, miláček! (Happy birthday, sweetheart!)" Joey says, a smile on his face.

I tilt my head, confused.

"It's Czech for 'Happy birthday, sweetheart'," Joey giggles.

I chuckle at his adorableness. "You're so cute, Joe," I whisper in his ear.

"Wanna dance?" He asks, an adorable smile on his face, making dimples appear on his cheeks.

I poke them and smile. "Sure." He takes my hand, leading me to the dance floor.

As we head, the couples around us begin to get into a position that is more intimate as the music changes to a slower song. Joey pulls me close to himself, wrapping his arms around my waist. I feel my cheeks heat up as I wrap my arms around his neck.

As we start to glide around on the floor together, Joey asks me, "So, how's your birthday going so far?"

I smile. "Much better, now that I'm with you."

He laughs. "I'm flattered, babe. Did you like your gift? I'm yours for the rest of the night." He grins, showing that it means more than what I was thinking. My ears ignite into flames as I hear this, my blush growing darker in my cheeks. He chuckles at me.

"Joseph!" I scold, trying to cover my face from embarrassment.

"What? I'm finally allowed to have my mate after 20 years of agony. I'm allowed to talk like that," he says, his tone sounding as if to prove something. I look at him.

"What does that mean, Joe?" I ask.

He looks at me. "I've been waiting for so long to be with my mate. I asked God and Satan to give me a mate, one whom I could be worthy of receiving love from." He nuzzles my cheek. "I guess they granted me that wish after all these years."

As our cheeks brush against each other, I feel wetness touch my cheek. I reach up and touch Joey's face, feeling tears. "Joey, are you crying?" I ask, shocked.

He pulls back and laughs. "Yes, but they are happy tears. I'm happy I've finally got my mate after waiting so long for you." He kisses my nose softly. "I love you, Simon Richardson," he whispers softly into my ear, his breath tickling my ear.

My blush runs down my neck. "I...I..." I stutter, unable to find my words.

"Simon, stay mine forever, ok? I don't know what I would do if you were to reject me..."

I feel my heart shatter when I hear those words. He thinks I would reject him? Why? What things has he been through that he would think that?

"Joseph Beauregard, I choose to accept you as my mate," I say, firmly.

His eyes widen in momentary shock before lighting up with the sweetest, most adorable smile ever in the existence of human kind.

"Simon Richardson, I choose to accept your acceptance."
