“Nandini you sure, you'll manage??” he was tensed about leaving her alone to deal with the things awaiting in the hospital as he had to go to his office having a very important meeting lined up which obviously was unavoidable. These few weeks both of them were quite ignorant towards their jobs which now in turn demanded attention. The board members of Malhotra heights were summoned for an urgent meeting and here this guy was reluctant to attend it not wanting to leave his wife alone to bear with the unpredicted happenings knocking at their doors.

“Haa Manik. You've been ignoring work since a long time and now it's high time. When I'm saying I'll be good then I mean it. Stop worrying about me and go to your office, you're needed there.” she had enough with being polite so the last few words came as more like orders than offers. Sighing at his defeat he pecked her forehead affectionately which more seemed like pouring in strength to her for facing anything that comes her way.

She smiled faintly and watched him disappear away from the hospital gate. Her stuck breath found its way to the ambient surrounding followed by her dragging her feet herself forcefully towards the cabin. She placed her bag on the table and slipped into the labcoat. Closing the door of cabin she strolled towards ward 203 where Sonakshi was resting since morning. Each step towards the room withdrew pinches of her stability to withstand. Trust issues for the matter of fact due anyone turns out to be painful, Nandini's trust was crushed to pieces by everyone, Dev still had his faith in her being a brother but Sonakshi?? Nothing was known about Sonakshi! Why did she do this?? Did she know about this?? Was it intentional?? Everything remains unanswered unless she barges in to discover the reality. She was made aware of things by this incident. Her pride- her career was questioned even after being clean-chit. Everything was so much fucked up with her that she had started loosing control over herself.

Being a doctor she could not afford distraction, discomposure and in a mess. Boosting herself with numerous inner screeches she stepped in right after knocking the door thrice. She entered to find Sonakshi at the bed with closed eyes and Dev who at the moment had laid his attention to the disturbance in the unusual silence.

“Nandini, thank god you're here. But wait You seem worn out, what happened?? Ghar pe kuch hua hai kya??” he asked walking Upto her after noticing her eyes. “Nahi bhai. Let me first check bhabhi baadmei we'll discuss the rest.” she consummately avoided eye-contact with him was she paced towards Sonakshi thus giving the mature man a clue about something being not correct.

Nandini checked Sonakshi's pulse rate, heartbeats, blood pressure first succeeding it by having a keen look at her blood reports that were recorded an hour before. Suddenly out of the blue she had turned wholly professional and had let go of the pessimistic thoughts pushing them aside to a corner with everything evident in her eyes.
