Chapter 25: Intuitions coming true??

Manik POV

"Bhabhi Nandini kaha hai??" I asked entering the kitchen after searching Nandini everywhere in the house! Worry was taking over me and my restlessness was taking the charge over me! I returned just now from the cafe with Mukti where we three friends had good time after a long time and as soon as I came I went to my room but on not finding Nandini I came to bhabhi to ask her!

"Manik voh Nandini wanted to meet her parents! Subeh se hi kafi disturbed thi unko lekar so I suggested her to go and visit them! Dev lekar gaye hai!" Sona bhabhi said calming my senses down as Nandini was safe and with Bhai! I dialed her number just to get the busy tone back! I sighed and fell back on my bed! The day started well with me and Nandini doing exercise to be precise I was giving Nandini a bit of exercise to her wounded leg! After we had returned from Lonavala Nandini's plaster was removed but still her leg needed care and attention!

My reverie was hurdled with my phone's ring and in a jiffy I answered it as I know this would be- Nandini! "Hello!" her gloomy voice was the first voice I heard on answering the call!! "Nandini, what is it??" I asked. "Manik mumma and dad are not yet home!!" Ohh thank God it's nothing more! "It's okay naa ab tak aaye nahi honge from your cousin's wedding!!" I said but now I could hear her sobs! "Manik yesterday I had talked to them kal raat ko hi they had started their journey in their car, aaj dad ki ek important meeting thi so!!" she kept on weeping and it pained a lot! "Nandini Tumne call kia?" I asked grabbing my car keys rushing down!

"Manik dono ke phones switched off hai and I called Amms too she said they had started yesterday and should have reached here by now!!" she cried harder and I could hear bhai consoling her! "Nandini be there mai bas 5 minutes mei aa raha hu!!" i commanded and hung up! Similar to a maniac I rode my car to Murthy mansion to find a crying Nandini sitting on the bench of the garden and Dev bhai hugging her!

"Bhai kaha gaye dono? I'll sort out everything with dad just ask them to come back naa!!" she sobbed harder. "Don't worry Nandini kahi traffic mei phas gaye honge! They'll come here in no time! Tum bas dekhti jao!" he encouraged but all in vain! I know she needs me the most now so I ran to her and pulled into my embrace!
