Chapter 26: The spectrum of woes!!

Manik and Nandini reached the hospital- Navjeevan care! This place wasn't giving Nandini good vibes! She badly wanted not to step in here but then if her parents are here then she had to do this! She caught hold of Manik's hand and stood at the entrance taking a deep breathe! Manik was perplexed and confused of Nandini's behavior as she wanted to reach her parents soon but here she was standing and wasting time!

Nandini opened her eyes and looked to Manik nodding her head in a no! Manik gave an assuring look so the stepped in there! Her grip over Manik's wrist kept on increasing till they reached the receptionist countertop! “Excuse me! We were informed that three people were admitted here injured in an accident! Can you please check and tell??” Manik politely asked and the receptionist replied “Yes sir! According to their ID proof it's Mr and Mrs Murthy but the third person, their driver ran away! Both of them are in the ICU! Take the coming left from this side!”

Manik ran but Nandini kept walking slow! Something was terribly wrong! This is what her senses were screaming at her which pulled her back before reaching the place! Her baby steps transformed into her sonorous fall as she fainted listening to what the doctor said to Manik!

“Mr. Malhotra, sorry to say but we could not save them! They were brought here almost when they had 90% lost their breathes!” the thunderbolt which had struck Manik and Nandini was spilled out of the old man in his labcoat!

Manik was too shocked to react but the loud thud caught his attention this making him run to an unconscious Nandini!

Nandini POV
“Nandini sorry bachcha we have to leave you but don't worry you are in safe hands and they'll never let you cry for us!” mumma said! She was draped in a white saree and was holding dad's hand who was in his white shirt and pant! Everything here was dark! For the first time darkness haunted me today!

“But where are you going? Please take me along!” I begged to them and dad smiled caressing my hairs! “No Nandini! We cannot take you along! Our time with you was only this much! But you have to live here! If not for yourself then atleast for Manik!” dad said still smiling but I arrested his hands in mine!

“Dad if you're punishing me for my deeds then please don't do this! I'm sorry! I promise I'll be mature and sensible please don't leave me alone!” I pleaded but he chuckled sadly! “I can never punish you for what you never did! You were right all the way but then it's our fate that now when everything was falling back to places we have to depart!”

“Nandini Please forgive us for leaving you like this but then you have to promise us you'll be happy and keep your family too happy!” mumma said but I kept on vigorously nodding my head crying incoherently! “Please??”
“Nandini bachcha please you have promised us that you'll never let your past affect you! Even the phase will be a passing cloud! Manik is waiting for you out in the light go to him and start a fresh! We will come back to you in the form of your kids! Please let us go!” dad said this and the both kissed my forehead for the last time and got dissolved info the air causing the light enter my vision!
