A Bad Purchase

Karai's POV

I go back to the lair after discovering that the crystal is gone. Both Leo and I don't know what to do! Anyone could have this thing and tracking it down could be next to impossible! If the Shredder finds out that I was working with Leo again, I'll be in a lot of trouble. He had just told me today to forget about the Kraang and fight the turtles.

I walk into the lair and bow down to the Shredder as he sits on his throne. It works like this every single time. "Karai, follow me." he says.

"Where, father?" I ask him confused. This will most likely not be good. I hope this isn't about me working with Leo again instead of fighting him.

"No questions, just follow me," the Shredder demands and stands up. He starts walking down this hallway and I follow him. We continue walking until we reach the lab. The lab in this building is rather small. Normally Baxter Stockman will go to this other building to work on his projects. However Stockman wasn't even here right now. I followed the Shredder into the middle of the room.

"Is this what you were talking about earlier?" he asks me.

I was confused. I had no idea what he was talking about until I looked down. On the table, was something I don't know Shredder got ahold of...the crystal!

I was completely shocked! How? The Shredder didn't even go out tonight or last night! "How did you find it?" I ask completely speechless.

"Well..." he starts to say.

*Flashback to when Karai had left

Shredder's POV

I was sitting in my throne. All I could think was that Karai better listen to me tonight. Lately, I have noticed that she avoids fighting the turtles or if she does, Karai hardly tries. The turtles must be destroyed but she doesn't realize that! Or at least she chooses not to listen to me.

"Master Shredder," Bradford says. "The Purple Dragons wish to speak to you."

I smirk although no one can see it under my mask. What do those idiots want? "Let them in," I say.

Bradford nods his dog head and leaves the room. It's only a few minutes until three of the Purple Dragons come in. Fong, the leader and two other ones which I don't know their names.

"I wanna make a deal with you," Fong says.

A deal? I think they should've learned that I don't do deals. If this is a safely deal they're wasting there time here.

"What kind of deal?" I ask.

Fong looks around the room seeing if anyone else is in the room. Nobody is, so he approaches me with the box in his hands which was hidden behind his back.

"500 dollars and it's yours," he says opening the box. I'm shocked at first when I see what it is. Where did he get a crystal this big from? Wait a minute, Karai was speaking about a crystal that the Kraang wanted earlier. This must be it, considering the size of this thing.

"100," I say.

"100?!" Fong asks insulted. "I thought I was giving you a bargain here! I think you could at least get 750 out of this!"

I'm not paying 500 for this and by the sounds of it he isn't willing to negotiate too much with me. I guess I'll just have to do it...

"200 and you leave with your lives," I say threatening them.

All of their eyes goes wide. What did they expect? They know I'll kill if I don't get my way. So why would it be any different this time?

"Alright we'll take 200!" Fong says suddenly changing his mind. I smirk taking the crystal and giving them 200 dollars. That was pretty easy now, all I have to do is figure out what this crystal does!

*Back to reality

Karai's POV

"Baxter Stockman is going to exam it. We'll find out what it does by tonight and see what I can do with it," Shredder explain.

I nod my head. And although I know I should be happy that my father has it, I'm not. This will only cause more chaos than needed! The turtles will surely break in and try to steal it back. And who knows what the Shredder will do with this thing! And worst of all, the Kraang will try to get ahold of the crystal as soon as they find out that we have it. The Shredder may think that buying this thing was a good idea but is he ever wrong.
