Karai's POV

"I just don't understand father," I explain as he sits on his throne as I am on the ground nearly five feet apart form each other.

"What is it that you don't understand Karai? I thought I made it pretty clear," The Shredder says.

"No father, you were clear. I just don't understand why you would buy some variation of a tank if it doesn't even run!"

Shredder had just told me his 'master plan.' He
bought this tank that doesn't run. He says he'll get it fixed and can take over the city with it. It's not a military tank but basically does the same thing. However, it has no motor and therefore cannot run. I don't know where or who he plans to get a motor from and it's useless until he does.

"Karai, as a ninja I need a powerful weapon. And if it must be a tank to take over the city, than it shall be a tank. And I'm sure Baxter Stockman can build me some kind of engine," the Shredder explains to me.

I nod my head. I still think it was a waste of money but I'm not saying another word to him about this. I don't want him getting angry with me.

"But until it does run, there will still be patrol. And tonight you will go out, in search for turtles."

"Yes, father," I say.

"And you will not disappoint me tonight, right daughter?"

I don't answer. I think he's realized that I don't have any intentions of killing the turtles. Splinter killed my mother, not them. In fact, I kinda like the turtles, or maybe I like them because I'm not supposed be around them. Either way I'll fight them, but I'll let Shredder finish them off.

"Karai?" Shredder asks once again.

"Yes, father," I say.

"Now go, go to the surface and get me some turtle shells."

Leo's POV

Why? Why am I the only one who takes our ninja team seriously. I know I'm the leader, but my brothers seem to care less about ninjutsu and more about being lazy.

"Are you sure that you guys would rather stay in the lair and do nothing than come up to the surface?" I ask the three of them as they do practically what they do every night.

"Um, Leo video games aren't considered doing nothing," Mikey replies almost offended. I sigh. Fine, I'll go out. I'll do a solo mission and have a better time without them.

Before leaving, I go to the dojo to let Splinter know. "Sensei," I say. "I'm going to the surface to do a solo mission."

He raises an eyebrow. "Why must it be alone?" Master Splinter asks.

"Everyone's busy. Or at least don't feel like coming," I explain. He nods his head and with that, I take off to the surface.

(Hey guys, just s quick note here. This chapter was very short but will be leading into some major invents. Hope you didn't mind this chapter and I'd appreciate it if you were to stay around for the next chapter! Have a good day!)
