Karai's POV
Twenty minutes earlier
"Father," I say going up to his thrown to cause a distraction. I know the turtles are here, so keeping Shredder busy is what's important now.
"Yes, Karai, he replies looking down to me. I'm around five maybe six feet away from him. "Father I need to talk to you. It's about our clan!" I lie coming up with the first thing that I can think of.
"Is that so? he asks. I nod my head trying to come up with something to say. Before I get the chance to speak, Baxter Stockman comes into the same room. "Master Shredder," he says.
"Stockman, I'm busy can't you see that!" Shredder snaps. "It's alright father," I say. Shredder looks down at me then back to Stockman. "What is it?"
This is more than great. It gives me more time to come up with a lie. I don't exactly know what I'm going to say, but with this time I'm sure I can come up with something!
"The tank, it's almost done. Come into the room in five or so minutes and you can use it, take over the city with it!"
Although Shredder wears a helmet, I know he was smiling underneath it. The turtles better hurry up. If they don't, it may be too late and the crystal will be used for no good!
"So Karai, what is it you wish to speak to me about?" Shredder asks me.
"Father," I say. "What must I do to be second in command again?" I ask. And although this is all a distraction, I'm actually curious. Ever since Tiger Claw got second in command I will admit that I've become a little jealous.
"Karai, my daughter," he says. "Tiger Claw is more experienced than you. Become more powerful than him and you can be second in command again."
I nod my head. If that's what it takes, then maybe I'll have to start training more. "Now, let's go check on that tank," he says.
Oh crap. I was supposed to stall him but I didn't do a very good job. I have to warn the turtles, I guess I'll just text Leo.

Leo's POV
I'm more than surprised when the Kraang point their guns at Shredder. But then it makes sense again, they aren't on Shredder's side, they're here for the crystal and he has it right now.
"Give us the object that is know as the crystal!" one of the Kraang says. There are around twenty of them, but I wouldn't doubt if more were in the hallway. Before Shredder can react, Kraang Subprime makes his way into the room.
"Hand it over Shredder, or we shoot you and your daughter!" Kraang Subprime says. "
Shredder doesn't say anything. In fact, Karai is the one to react. She throws a smoke bomb to the ground and when it clears up, the garage door is open and Shredder and Karai are gone. The tank is gone. Once I look out the door, I can see Shredder driving it away but Karai is not in sight.
"After them!" Kraang Subprime yells. "Before it backfires!"
Backfires? What is he talking about? No Leo, we don't have time for that. "C'mon!" I yell at my team as now both the Kraang and us start chasing after Shredder. Fifty Kraang and four turtles against one tin man, the odds don't seem too good for you today Shred Head.
