Chapter 3 - Shady Warehouse

Before I took my shower I took the time to look over the apartment, from the entrance the kitchen/ living room was open plan making the room feel spacious and airy. The kitchen was to the left, it contained all new modern appliances, I bet they'd just been bought. A large black breakfast bar was used to separate the kitchen and living room, it had three high stools lined up underneath it.

I opened one of the overhead cupboards, empty. I rolled my eyes, she decks the place out with everything but leaves the freaking cupboards empty? Typical.

Closing the cupboard I walked the distance through the living room to the glass doors that led outside, hesitantly, I pulled back the white cotton curtain. My jaw dropped at what I seen, What the actual fuck? I have a pool?

Outside the glass doors was a large patio that included a decent sized pool, I quickly turned the key in the lock and threw the door open, ignoring the heat that flooded into the air conditioned house. I let out a small girly squeal and jumped on the spot, I can't believe I have a pool!

Shyly, I inched closer to sparkling blue water not quite believing it was there, I slowly dipped a toe in and squealed again when my foot got wet. To be honest I don't know why I was surprised, And I really don't know what I was actually expecting to happen.

"Shit, I have a pool." I muttered to myself incredulously.

Realising that my skin was starting to burn I hesitantly went back inside to check out the rest of the apartment, I'd have plenty time to check the pool out properly tomorrow.

From my perusal of the house I'd found out that the apartment was three bedroomed, with one bathroom, my room fortunately had an ensuite that included a toilet, sink and shower.

I was ecstatic, I couldn't believe how amazing this place was!

Walking back through the corridor that led to the bedrooms and bathroom, I made my way to my bedroom, I figured now that I'd checked the whole apartment out I'd take my long needed shower.

After my shower all I wanted to do was sleep and sleep some more, I put on my sleep shorts and loose pj top and I was ready for bed. I was so tired from flying for eight hours, not to mention the five hour time difference, it's understandable that I could probably fall asleep on a washing line.

As I towel dried my long thick hair I looked at my phone, I had just remembered that I had switched it off because of the plane and had completely forgotten to turn it back on.

As I waited for my phone to load my mind wandered back to the guy that had lifted me up earlier on, I remembered the way his arms flexed when he picked my bags up like they weighed nothing, the way that his shirt clung to his toned back was just ... I stopped that train of thought before I got too carried away.

What the hell was I doing? Daydreaming about someone I had just met when I had just left my boyfriend only twelve hours ago in a different country. But on the other hand, I'm not blind. I can appreciate a good looking guy, even if I have got a boyfriend.

My guilt disappeared immediately at that thought, God I don't even know this man and I just found myself involuntarily thinking about him again.

Right stop it Vi!

I forced all thoughts of the mystery man to the back of my mind and looked down at my phone to see if it was alive yet, I instantly felt a stab of guilt at what I saw; two missed calls and three messages.

The texts were all from James along with one call, the other call was from mother dearest. No way was I phoning her back after the chauffer stunt today, ignoring the missed calls I went straight into the text messages.
