                                             The Meeting

Devon:

"I couldn't believe he had shown his face after what he did with Zahara." "Even though Zahara was telling the truth about him lying, I still need space to clear my head." "This week's drama was just too much for him to deal with right now."

"I put my incident with Zahara to the back of my mind." "I needed to focus on the meeting that was about to take place."

" His words bothered me though when I told him I didn't have any feelings for the woman I used to make Zahara jealous, he asked me if I knew that I didn't have any feelings for me." 

"So why tf would I care if she did or didn't??"

"I was bothered because Zahara was probably going to start thinking there was actually something going on between us when there wasn't."

I drove up to the spot he asked to meet him at, only to see that his car was parked in the parking lot, but he was nowhere to be fount Getting out of the car, I put my business face on and walked inside.

Gifted:

Pulling up to the restaurant, Stevenson parked his car. He looked in his rearview mirror to see Nakia, and I roll up a few minutes behind him. He stepped out of the car and motioned for them to join him as he walked inside.

"Man this place is beautiful," I thought to myself as we pulled up in the lot.

"This man must have a lot of money" because this wasn't your "ordinary" restaurant.

It was fancy and screamed I'm money" from the outside. I could only imagine what the inside looked like. I nervously stepped out of the car to be greeted by the man who had caught Nakia's attention.

"Wow, you sure do you know how to pick them," Nakia said referring to the restaurant. 

"Well what can I say, I have a great taste that includes women," he told her with a smirk on his face.

  Nakia giggled at his remark.

Well, ladies shall we?? he asked

  We followed him inside...

"Yes, a seat for four," he told the cashier.

"Yes sir, right this way" he insisted as he showed us to our table

Nakia sat next to me leaving him to sit by himself. You could have sat over her, I don't bit he teased. Nakia started to blush at his statement.

So tell me about yourselves let's start with you Nakia he insisted. There isn't much to know I just graduated from college and received my master's degree in fashion design.

"I like to design clothes and would like to become a "Fashion Designer" in the near future," she said with confidence.

Really?? That's interesting because I actually manage a clothing company with my homie he told her.

Wow really??? That's great what's the name of your company??? Nakia asked.

I watched them as they talked, even a "genius" could tell they were into each other

They continued talking as if I wasn't even sitting with them at the table. I let out a long sigh "this is going to be a long night" I said to myself.
