Angel Williams
"Zai, gimme the phone!" I yelled as I was being pushed back. My stupid brother was annoying my friends on the other line of the phone. When he finally got tired of bugging me, he lazily tossed the phone at me and dragged his bored self out of the room to bother our youngest brother Zach. Isn't it weird? My mom decided to start my name with the first letter of the alphabet and she used the last letter to start the names of the two moronic boys that came after me.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Your brother's crazy," laughed Liz.
"I know."
"Does he have a girlfriend?" asked Artemis.
"Pedo!" I said.
"I'm not! I'm just curious. That's just gross Angel! I would never!"
"Defensive," Claire said.
"Anyway, where were we before we were so rudely interrupted?" I said jumping on the bed and twirling my hair around my finger.
"We were talking about that weird group of hotties that said some crazy rubbish," Artemis said.
"Right," I said. "What do you guys think they wanted from us? It was like they thought they knew us and stuff."
"I think we should stay away from them," Claire said.
"Their just a bunch of wanna-be idiots guys," Artemis said. "Although one of them was really cute."
"You're a sucker for green eyes," Liz muttered. "Ever since you read that Percy Jackson book."
"I am not!" Artemis said.
"In denial," sighed Claire.
"But it's pretty weird right? They were talking to us as if they really knew us," I said.
"Let's not think about morons," Liz said. "So, who are we going with for the dance?"
And so we talked about the possible candidates for our partners. But I couldn't erase that boy's face. The one that had dazzling silver eyes. They were a mixture of anger, pain, and relief. Why would he look at me like that? It wasn't only that. The other guys with him each looked at the other girls with almost the same expression. Which was really strange. We've never met these guys.
The vacation we spent before coming back to school was all a blur. I guess it was just so much fun and tiring that we all can't really remember all the notical nonsense we did in those days.
Once we all said goodbye, I hung up and went to my room. I could hear my mom trying to get my brothers to attend some of the royal balls they were being invited to. She's asking them because I'll only come if those two come. I don't like going to a stupid ball where I have to socialize. That's the worst thing in the world. I hate introducing myself to people I don't a have cent of care for. I don't know them, and they don't know me, let it stay that way.
Ever since my mom divorced my dad, my grandparents have been bugging my mom nonstop about coming back to them. Mom finally gave in when they guilt-tripped her about not being able to see their precious grandchildren. It was only then that I met my relatives from my mother's side. And it was a shock to discover that my cousins were hot and beautiful. And one of them was my cousin August Carter.
Now why would August approach me and my friends so openly like that? He and I had already discussed that watching over Artemis was best to be done in distance for him. And I was tasked with being close to her. I'm not being a plastic bitch. I would never be friends with some untruthfully.
