North Hunter
Angel pulled at my hand until we reached an empty place. She sighed in relief and sank down on a bench. "I thought we were getting a drink?" I asked and wanted to hit myself immediately. What the hell was I doing? I've got like, what? Ten minutes before the fucking deadline? She's already here in front of me! Unlike the others who might still be searching their heads off, Angel found me!
And now my problem is...
How the hell can I make this girl kiss me?
I groaned. It would be so much easier if there weren't any rules for this. I'd grab her and eagerly kiss the living daylights out of her.
Shit 8 minutes!
I coughed. "Uh, Angel?"
"Hmm?" she asked with a smile. "Oh, right, your question. I'm sorry I lied. I just needed to escape. There was a creep with big ears trying to get me to dance with him. I just couldn't handle it, and then I saw you. I hope that's okay."
"What creep?" I demanded. Someone tried something on her? They dared to—
She grabbed my hand and looked at me reassuringly, "North it's okay. The guy was harmless. Don't make such a scary face."
I pushed back my violent urges and grudgingly sat next to her. She smiled at me and it reminded me again how her name fit her perfectly, especially with what she's wearing right now.
"What do people usually do during these kinds of events anyway?" she asked me. "I mean, take out the drinking and dancing, and I already don't know what people would do."
"Well, it is pretty much just an excuse to dress up and go wild," I agreed. She looked thoughtful for a second. "So what else do people do?"
I shrugged. "Usually talk, hang out, but mostly they flirt and make out."
She frowned at that. "I guess you're right about that..." She stared at me curiously. "So...are we going to do that...? Flirt and make out?"
I blinked. "Do you want to?"
Her entire face turned a nice shade of red. She gave me a shy nod.
I chuckled. "How much more adorable can you get?"
"I'm not adorable!" she fumed.
"Of course you are," I said, pinching her cheeks.
"Shtahp zhaaat!" she said.
"You do know that you don't have much talent at flirting, right? You're too blunt. Flirting is all about directly yet indirectly showing your interest in a person."
"But you already know I'm interested in you," she said while rubbing her cheeks, making me the one to get embarrassed. I ran a hand through my hair. "See? Too blunt."
"Flirting is stupid. I don't get how Lizzie and Artemis can act all flirty and play hard to get when they're with guys they like. Wouldn't it be easier to just go ahead and say or show the truth? Look, I don't go around in circles and neither do you since I put it clearly that I'm very much attracted to you." She looked satisfied with her explanation...until she realized that she had proclaimed her own attraction to me. "Uh-I-um...th-that was ah..."
I laughed at how flustered she got. Dammit, if she continues to act this adorable, I'd want to lock her up and have my way with her. Hold on... she wasn't this direct when we first met. Well a little, but still. Maybe it was because she was with her friends. I can imagine the teasing she'd receive if she was this straight-forward from the beginning.
