“Artemis! Artemis, wait!!!” I screamed as Artemis shot past me, completely ignoring my presence. What the hell?! Why is she panicking like crazy??!!!! And why does Anne from the cheerleading squad have a burnt mark on her cleavage? Brr. Talk about a disturbing sight.
“What was that about?” Adrian asked, confused. I gave him a look, shutting him up immediately.
I whipped up my phone and started to dial for Artemis when it rang. Unknown Number. Hmm… Well August is following her.
“Hello?”
“Uhh… Is this that red-head named Liz?” a voice that strangely sounded like North’s said. Why in the name of Christmas Present is he suddenly calling me?!
Puzzled, I decided to amuse myself “No, this is the pizza guy, order and we’ll deliver it in 30 minutes or it’s free.”
“Funny.” He sighed “Look, your friend, Claire? Well, she’s at the infirmary right now with Angel. She hit her head.”
“WHAT!?” I shouted loudly, making Adrian, who was eavesdropping, jump beside me “Okay, I-I’ll be there in a sec.”
I started to run at top speed. Well. My top speed. Shit what am I saying?! Claire must be hurt real bad if she was taken to the infirmary.
“What?! What happened??!” Adrian shouted at me. Holy Cheesecakes is he grinning at me because he’s only jogging?! Well excuse me for not being a long legged freak!
“Claire hit her head.” I panted “Now stop shouting. Do I look deaf to you!?”
He opened his mouth to answer but he was stop when the annoying high pitched voice of the hall monitor screamed at us.
“Hey you two! No running at the halls!” Damn, are all the hall monitors so damn irritating in the ear?!
“Ugh!” I stopped and, to Adrian’s surprise, turned full steam ahead towards Mr. Squealing pants. He stopped on his tracks, paling. Well he should because I’m about to give him a piece of this hot ass if he keeps running after us.
“Look Mister, not to be rude or anything but my friend,” I glared, stopping directly in front of him “Just hit her head and is now in the infirmary and, frankly, I don’t care about those shitty hall passes nobody cares the dang about! Now would you please excuse me and this” I jerked my thumb at Adrian “idiot here, thank you.”
I twirled around, not waiting for his answer and started walking leisurely towards the infirmary. Phew! That went well! At least he’s not following us anymore. Hmm… Come to think of it, how come Adrian’s not talking?
I turned my head to look at him and felt my heart stop when I saw the most heart melting smile planted on his face. Okay Lizzie, breathe, breathe. It’s normal. He is hot. It’s normal to feel turning into jelly when someone as yummy looking as him is looking at you, right? What the hell am I saying?!
“Stop looking at me like that!” I scowled, feeling my cheeks heat up. He remained silent. Curse him and his hotness!
After a few minutes we finally reached the infirmary. I hope Claire’s alright.
“Angel? Claire?” I called as I popped my head in and almost screamed when I saw North staring down at me “What are you a doorman?”
He ignored my tirade, looking straight at the dolt behind me “Adrian? What’s up with your face?”
“Don’t ask.” Adrian replied, anger obvious in his voice. Hey! I’m not the one who told him to pop out from nowhere and scare the beejuzas out of me.
