This is the place. I can sense it here. Taking careful steps into the building, I looked at the many people walking in the halls. Normal humans are so boring, I sighed. It's been a week since the twin ring had disappeared, and now it's giving me a lot of trouble making me find it. I had just come from England, and that bloody ring gave me so much trouble as to disappear and head for America.
Struggling to straighten myself, I strode through the halls, keeping a keen eye out for the troublesome ring. After moments of fruitless searching and bothersome interruptions from squeaky giddy females, I sat on an empty bench and rested. Looking down at my own ring, I wondered how I would've reacted if this ring was the one that decided to disappear. No doubt I'd become a loose screw trying to find it.
Returning my train of thought to the missing ring, I concentrated on its presence. It was stubbornly trying to conceal itself. Sighing in frustration, I stood up and started walking around trying to detect a stronger signal of its presence.
And just then, I sensed it. Clear and strong it was there. I ran towards the source of the sensation and found it on the floor a few feet from where I stood. I smiled, but it was immediately replaced by dread when the hall suddenly became full of rotten students.
Shoving past some of them to get to where the bloody ring was, I hurried towards it... only to come in too late.
A girl with long blonde hair slipped on it and fell on her butt. A humiliating sight. I was forced to stay back fearing what the ring was planning. What the devil was it up to?!
The girl stared at it seeming to be entraced by its magnificence unaware of its playful nature and soon, she was surrounded by her friends. There were four of them now.
The ring glowed mischievously and the blonde girl holding the ring bumped into a guy with dark hair. They had an unpeasant encounter with each other and yet I could feel the rings twisted sense of fun beginning to form a dangerous plan. This is bad. It has taken a liking to the girl and seems to have decided to have her as its new master.
I was ready to interfere, but just as I was about to come closer, the bonde girl tossed the ring towards her red-headed friend. The ring glowed in delight. This is seriously bad...
The four girls scattered, heading for each of their respective classes. I decided to follow the blonde and thte redhead who were heading in the same direction.
Moving past some questioning women and curious glances from some of the guys, I sneaked into the room and was just in time to witness yet another one of the ring's playful plots.
The redhead now encountered a dark-haired cocky guy. And at the moment, they were having a trivial arguement about nonsensical things. I could almost feel that damn ring making its own evil little laugh.
I sighed. I knew this was going to be difficult. But without any knowledge of what the ring might do will make things a lot more complicated than they should be.
"Hi there."
A girl's voice interrupted my train of thought. Glancing at her who sat beside me, I gave the brunette a polite greeting, "Hello."
She beamed in delight as expected. "You're not from around here are you? I noticed you have an accent."
"Really?"
"Yes, so where are you from?" she asked.
I didn't want to do this actually, but... I do hate meddlesome people.
