Jasper Price’s POV

“Claire!”

I pushed a guy from my side as he took over my personal space while he danced like a maniac. I squeezed my way out of the throng of people engulfing me and into the center of the dance floor. I looked around, breathing heavily as I checked for any dark-haired cute looking girl in a green dress.

11:45. Shit. I need to find her. 15 more minutes or else I lose my chance. I can’t afford to think what Claire would’ve missed if she doesn’t regain her memories back. I love Claire. That I know now.

I was about to push another crazy dancing guy away from me when a hand landed on my shoulders. “Jasper?”

I turned around expecting to see Claire but instead, there stands Stacy Myers.

“Hey.” She smiled “I’ve been looking around for you and---“

“Not now Stacy” I said as I looked around again looking for Claire “I’m kind of in a hurry.”

Her lips pressed into a thin line and she scowled at me, “Excuse me? But are you looking for Claire Evans?”

I looked at her so suddenly that I’m afraid my neck would break, “Yes. Where is she? Have you seen her?”

She gave me a look of complete unbelief and then she put both of her hands in her waist “Seriously? You’re thinking of that petty little girl? Do you really think you can get out of our relationship that easily? We’ve been together for 3 years Jasper. 3 years and you’re going to throw that away?”

Yeah, after I saw you in bed with Craig Garrows.

“This is not the time Stacy, I’m really sorry. I need to go.” I told her impatiently. I turned around but she grabbed my arm and I swear I feel like punching someone.

“Can you please let go of my arm?” I asked with contained anger. I looked at her with full venom in my eyes and she looked at me like she’d seen an alien.

“You’re different.” She said “You never look at me that way before.”

“Let go of my arm.” I said once more.

“If you think you’re in love” She said “You’re wrong. Because all I can see now is anger, Jasper Price. Admit it. You can never love a girl seriously. We’ve only been together for that long because I was so patient and forgiving nonetheless of how I see you dating other girls while you’re still dating me. You are never the trustworthy person Jasper. You only think of yourself and your desires. You never think of my feelings! That night with Craig? Let me tell you, I will never regret every bit of it. I love it. I love how I saw the pain in your eyes, you will never found the girl for you. Ever.”

She finished talking with her hands still on my arms. My eyes never wavered from hers as I pulled her hands away from my arms. I walked close to her face and said,

“You know why I’m angry Stacy?” I said with my voice low “Because I’ve finally seen someone who has changed me. And now I’m about to lose her and the fact that I can’t even do anything and stand here talking about how selfish I am in the past, that’s what I’m angry about. So excuse me while I try to save my princess.”

I can feel her shaking with anger as tears went down of her face. I started to walk away from her but I stopped from my tracks and turned around,

“Stacy,” She looked up at me and I can see the tears streaming down her face, “I’m sorry. I really am.”
