"Oh my gawwwd, Sabrina look!" Gisselle said, rolling over her bed to show me something on her phone.

I looked down at what she had on her phone which was just another damn fight video on her Snapchat.

"Damnnnn." She cracked up laughing.

"Who is that?" I asked, still trying to finish homework that she constantly keeps interrupting.

"I don't know, two hoes from school." She shrugged and swiped to the next story.

"Speaking of fighting," I finished writing my last word on my paper and sat my pencil down. "Were you really gonna fight Ambernese that day?"

She sat up. "Hell yeah! The fuck."

I shook my head. "You're too much."

"To be honest I was really more upset with Devin. I couldn't believe y'all wasn't talking that whole period. That was some straight up bullshit, I ain't tryna hear it."

I watched as she went to feed her pet hamster. "Sooooo because I had stopped talking to a friend and it seemed like we weren't cool anymore...you get mad at him? I fall out with people all the time but you're never ready to fight them."

She sighed and closed the hamster cage. "Sabrina, I know you like Devin."

"No I don't what are you talking about?" I continued to deny it.

"Stop lying to me ok? Cause you're not good at it."

I rolled my eyes as she sat back down next to me on the bed. Gisselle continued. "You like him, a whooolle lot. I can see it in your eyes and by how you act around him. And I'm not completely sure if he likes you back but I still didn't like how he was cuddled up with that nasty hoe and ignored you instead. It just pissed me off knowing that you damn near head over heels about him, and this hoe was all over your future husband. By the way you BOTH treat each other, I'd say y'all have a thing for each other, and seeing him with Amber was just complete bullshit and I wasn't finna have it."

I slightly smiled because I felt where she was coming from. And the fact that she cared that much is the reason why I love her.
"What are you? A love chaperone, making sure everyone is with the right person?"

She laughed. "I ain't all that. But when it comes to my sister, I wanna see her happy. And Sabrina, you ain't been happy the last few days and I know it's because of Devin."

I sighed and looked back down to my homework sheet, dodging the opportunities for me to admit to someone that I love Devin.
"Andddd mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell....Answer C."

Gisselle took my biology book and homework from my possession and threw them on the other side of the bed, away from me.

"Gisselle!"

"Admit it!"

"Admit what?" I reached for my paper but she blocked me from getting to it.

"Admit that you like him."

"I don't." I shrugged

"Looks like you will be getting a zero, cause you not getting this paper back 'til you say it." She closed my paper in my book and tried to take it out in the hall. She's so devious. She knows how important getting this schoolwork done and out the way is to me.

"There's nothing for me to admit Gisselle! Give me my damn paper."

"Nope."

"You want me to admit something that ain't true?"
