"Sooo, how you feeling 'bout all this?" Perry leaned back in his chair, smiling at my nervousness. I was still trying to take in this moment and couldn't believe I was sitting in a studio next to a big producer.

"Ummmm." My voice shook and I looked around observing everything in the room. Everything related to music.
"I don't know."

"What do you think about signing with my label in the near future?"

My eyes bucked. I should've expected that question to come up since we've been here a little while, but I didn't know how to react when those words actually came out.

"U-um, wow, uhh. I don't know uhhhh, I haven't-given it much thought." I rubbed my sweaty hands together repeatedly in my lap.

He giggled. "No rush. I'd want to wait til you graduate before we get to that level anyway. But think about it."

I nodded and rubbed and rubbed my hands.

"Relax Sabrina, nothing to be nervous about. I'm not here to intimidate you. I'm a chill ass person, am I not?" He laughed and gestured to himself.

I laughed to, "yeah you are."

"Look, I just want the world to hear the wonders of your voice. I have the power to make that happen, as long as you're down."

I blushed from his compliment, but then immediately stopped and began worrying about Devin who hasn't hit me up all day.

I'm glad that when I see a cute guy I start thinking about my own boyfriend and snap out of it. It prevents a lot of long term trouble that nobody wants.

"But you still got some time to think about it." He changed the way he was sitting to make himself more comfortable.

I quickly unlocked my phone to see if Devin had read my five messages I had sent within the last six hours. So not like him to ignore me this way and it was pissing me off.

"Everything okay?" Perry asked. He must've seen the frustrated look of my face.

I looked up surprised at him, not realizing that he was watching me.

"Oh, it's just my boyfriend. He hasn't spoken to me all day. Not even replying to my texts."

"Hmm," he said. "Boyfriend huh?"

"Yeah." I said while typing another text to Devin asking his whereabouts.
"It's really starting to worry me."

"Maybe he's a little busy?"

When I looked up, Devin had walked into the room unexpectedly.

"Hey baby," I said in a shocked tone. "What are you doing here? I've been tryna reach you all day."

He looked back and forth between me and Perry. "What's going on?"

I smiled and walked over to him to give him the biggest hug ever since I hadn't seen him all day. I gave him a juicy kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"You know I've always wanted to be a singer."

"Mhm." Is all he replied with, waiting for me to elaborate. His whole demeanor was rubbing me the wrong way.

I cleared my throat nervously since this situation was quickly getting awkward. I gestured to Perry.
"He's talking about signing me over to his label. He found me a song writer and everything!" I said with a little enthusiasm to brighten up the room.
