We had just finished our food in the food court.

"Imma go use the bathroom." Perry stood up and grabbed his trash and empty box of food and threw it in the garbage bin in his route. I got on my phone to look at Snapchat stories to keep me occupied while I waited patiently.

He had been gone for about five minutes, and even though I had my phone to keep me busy, I was still impatient. I looked behind me in my chair where the bathrooms were and didn't see him coming. I turned back around and happened to glance at the various food stands and saw what looked like it could be Devin.

He was looking at me, then smiled and waved. Yup, that's him.

He approached my table with a little smile and a bag of subs from Firehouse. "What you doing here? Lil girl?"

I had remembered back in high school when he used to call me "lil girl" in a joking way. He never meant it in a belittling way, but it was just his way of greeting me sometimes and I won't ever forget it. Hearing it for the first time in years shook my mental, once again I was thinking about our history.

"I'm a grown woman now." I chuckled.

He smiled, "yeah you are."

There it was again, that weird, dramatic, uncomfortable pause. But thankfully he spoke up. "So how long you in Blacksburg?"

"Til Friday. I have two more shows then we'll be headed back home." I smiled at the idea of being back home in Cleveland. Some place familiar and where I'm comfortable. Back with everyone I love. It's even better because Shane, my favorite only brother, had moved back home.

"Yeah you and your big music producer boyfriend huh?" He said

I looked at him and scrunched up my nose. "Yes, me and my big producer boyfriend are going home. What was that about?"

He shook his head as if he didn't have a deeper meaning from that phrase. "Nothing, I just had forgotten his name that's all."

"Hmm." I said skeptically. But I shook it off. "Where yo fiancé? I saw her about fifteen minutes ago, and she sure do got a problem with me." I chuckled

"What do you mean?" I asked

"I tried to be nice and say hi, but she was acting like she didn't even wanna see my face." Sabrina chuckled.

It's safe to say that Nicole got a little insecure when she found out that I had an idea ex named Sabrina, who also happens to be a gorgeous, sexy, chocolate, well-known performer. I already told her that she's all I want, what else am I supposed to do?

"I don't know what's going on with her." I sighed and shrugged.

"Well you gotta find out," she looked concerned. "I don't want her to be insecure with her fiancé, you do love her don't you?"

Surprisingly I hesitated to say yes. Being in Sabrina's presence did something to me and I just froze up to the question, made me ponder if I really do love her as much as I think I do. I hate to have second thoughts now that we're engaged, but my heart wouldn't let me come right out and say yes for some odd reason. I have no idea what that was all about.

"Yeah, I love her." I finally said.

She was skeptical. "Do you really love her?" Her eyebrow raised.

"Why you asking?" I said, hoping she'd been holding on to some feelings.

"I'm your friend Devin, I wanna make sure you're not making a mistake "

I couldn't stop looking into her eyes and seeing such a beautiful young woman. You want me to admit it? Ok fine...I'm in love with Sabrina Clemons! I can't stop thinking about her and haven't stopped thinking about her. She's always on my mind, especially since we have been reunited for a few days. This week has been the best-worst week of my life.

I didn't reply because I saw Perry approaching her from behind. He glanced at me in a weird way then looked down at Sabrina. "You ready baby?"

Sabrina jumped a little because she didn't know he was there. "Oh y-yeah. I'm ready."

He held out his hand and she grabbed it, lifting her up from the chair like a gentleman and pushing in her chair.

"See you around Dev." She said looking over her shoulder at me and walking hand in hand with Perry to the exit. I was witnessing my love being loved by another man and it hurt bad.
