제3장:

It's Sunday today, 10:30am.

"Are you ready?" My dad asked, knocking onto my bedroom door.

"YES... I was just changing!" I opened the door with attitude. I went out to a nightclub last night with one of my friends from school. She was my designated driver. I didn't get much sleep.

"Great, all your clothes in that bag?"

"Yep."

"Okay, let's go." He smiled and grabbed his own bag, making his way to the apartment's front door.

We headed out to our arrived Uber. The Uber drove us to the train station in 8 minutes, just in time for our ride.

Let's skip the train ride. It was short-- About 20 minutes long. I still slept through it, I needed the energy for when we moved IN to the new house.

"Have a nice day." The man in uniform smiled at us as we left the train. I nodded then yawned, leaning my head on my dad's shoulder while we were on our way down the escalator.

"Wake up kid, we're not even in the parking lot." My dad laughed, gently tapping my head the moment I closed my eyes.

"Yah, I stayed up 'til 5am last night. Give me a break."

"Watch it, Miss Cranky." He gave me a look then laughed, "Anyway, I told you not to. I called it! You'd be tired!!"

"Whatever..." I rolled my eyes.

"I got you an Uber to our new house... Here's the keys to the front door," He handed me one key and smiled, "And I'm taking a different Uber to get our car . At 11:30 I have my first meeting as new office manager."

"Already?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yep, they said, '11:30am on Sunday'." He answered, standing with me at the parking lot.

"Crap. That means I have to unpack by myself for how long..?"

"4 hours."

"4-- 4 HOURS?! HOW LONG IS THIS MEETING?!"

"It's about 30 minutes, but I have other things to do besides that." He chuckled.

"Fine...."

"Maybe you can take a walk around the neighborhood, take a look around. Organize your bedroom. Right?"

"Yeah, whatever."

"Maybe take a nap, too." He frowned, then changing his frown into a small smile.

"I guess so." I shrugged.

A clean and new looking van pulled in front of us. It was some handsome looking dude with black tinted aviators.

"Miss Seo?" The man smiled warmly, rolling down his window.

"Yes, this is her. No funny business, she's a beauty." My dad teased, patting my back to get in.

I just stared blankly at my dad then the drive, sighing I got into the car. The driver waved to my dad before driving off. I watched my dad fade from my vision while another car pulled into the lot. Out came another sigh from my boring face.

"How are you this warm afternoon?" The driver smiled at me through the mirror.

"I'm fine, thank you." I said brightly, upsettingly to him, I didn't smile.

"A smile would look nice on you." He chuckled.

"It hurts my face when I smile."

"Oh?.. Did you undergo something recently?" He asked, hinting plastic surgery.

"I don't really pay attention to surgery, no."

"That's good, I guess." He let out a laugh, turning down another road.

I leaned my forehead against the car window, watching the familiar houses pass by on the familiar streets.

"Where you from?" The Uber driver asked, breaking the silence.

I grew aggravated. I don't like talkative people. And this guy was already on my nerves. I don't hate him, but he's just getting.. Annoying.

"Gwacheon." I plainly answered.

"Oh~ Welcome home, then. Haha."

"Thanks."

"Uh-huh.." He cleared his throat, realizing my mood.

In a short time, we ended up at the new house.

"Have a nice day." He smiled.

I nodded and got out of the car with my bags. The house was amazing, well structured and healthy yard. I walked up the front yard, unlocking the wood and glass door. I kicked my shoes across the marble floor the second I got inside. I furrowed my eyebrows, the floor was cold and flawless. I felt too... Extra. I liked it to be home-like. But hey, I won't complain.

My feet slapped against the cold marble white floor as I walked across it to step up the wooden foyer steps. The hallway had 2 people-height windows with shuttered blinds. It was a long wide hallway, like some music video hall way. With cream painted walls.

The moment I stepped into my bedroom, my eyebrows dropped into a distressed look. It was extremely empty--Of course, but it just reminded me of how much moving in I had to do. And all the unpacking..

"HELLO~~!!!" My eyes pierced wide open, my head turned immediately to my large bedroom window; Which was wide open.

There was a youthful looking guy standing at his window, leaning halfway out the window waving at me with a bright smile.

"What are you doing?!" I ran to the window and yelled at him.

"I'M YOUR NEIGHBOR~!" He eye-smiled me, laughing with a contagious tone.

"WHAT IF I HAD BEEN CHANGING!? PERVERT!" I flipped him off and slammed my window shut, closing the blinds immediately.

A loud groan left my throat as I threw my bag across the room. At this point, I knew I had to start moving a few things in. I left my room and slumped around the house until I was at the living room window, watching the moving truck pull into the driveway.

A knock soon came from the front door. I was at the door within 3 minutes. Even though I was in the living room. Which was right next to the front door.

"Hello!" The man bowed his head and handed me a clipboard to sign.

"Just bring the things to the living room. Thank you." I returned the clipboard.

I felt kind of bored watching them bring things in so I began helping them bring furniture in.

Within an hour, everything from the moving van was in the house. Most of it were my things, bathroom things, and office furniture.

I thanked the movers and bid them Later. After that, I began bringing things up to my bedroom, setting things up and unpacking.

It only took like another hour to do it. I'm a quick worker, and I don't have a very fun imagination so I set everything out into a plain look.

Then I was done. Easy as that, I guess.
