제29장:
The faint taste of red wine still lingered in my mouth while Jin and I walked side-by-side down the sidewalk of the busy street. He made an exception, Jin, saying he allowed me to have alcohol just for celebration.
We walked on a side walk of a street, as said, that was lit up with many lights of buildings and such. It was nice, evening was approaching by the way the shadows moved with the sun.
That's when it hit me--I wasn't the only one who dressed up-- Jin did too.
"You look nice, by the way." I looked up at him with a cocky smile on my face.
Jin looked down at me with pink cheeks and a shy smirk, "Thank you."
"Don't be so formal. Take the compliment like I know you would." I chuckled.
"Well if you insist.... I know." He winked.
I laughed loudly, drawing attention once again.
Older women and girls my age were whispering to each other about the handsome man I was so lucky to be talking to. They all squealed, covering their mouths were their fake nailed hands.
All of them were decently beautiful. It made me question my appearance beside him.
As we continued walking, girls would bow their head at him, saying hi in a flirtatious way. In the pit of my stomach, I grew uncomfortably irritated. I sighed through my nose and was constantly pulling my shirt back so the center slit wasn't exposing my cleavage.
But then I stopped midway of adjusting my shirt. Sigh. Here comes my inner-basic-bitch.
After sucking my lips in, I let the shirt droop once more so I looked like every other fantastically flawless model. Not that I was flawless.. Nor fit to be a model.
In a moment after flipping my hair over my shoulder, preventing the sunlight to make my neck sweat from the hairy heat, I wrapped my arms around Jin's average strong arm.
We walked together, intimately close you could say.
Jin was stiff as a board after I had made my move.
Here is what I would call, jealousy. By now I was put up by all the girls sending Jin flirty looks. I swear I wouldn't be surprised if Jin just somehow found a paper in his pocket with some random person's number written on it.
He was utmost, handsome.
"Where are we?" Finally, I realized we had been walking for nearly an hour by now.
The scenery must've distracted me. Oh, and the city. That too.
"Uh.." He paused, looking around at the city we were in.
"Looks like we're in Anyang." Jin finally answered after spotting a familiar building I suppose.
"Ah." I hummed, continuing to walk arm-in-arm with him.
The city was beautiful and evening was several minutes away. Street lights were turning on, single women were rushing home and couples were now out. Groups of college students were leaving their dorms.
I envy the carefree students, I hope I can be as carefree as them when I get into college. I'm a pretty boring person though. But, I don't have to be. That's it, tonight I'll be as exciting as I can.
"What time is it?" I asked Jin.
"8:20." Jin answered after checking his phone.
"Really!?" I widened my eyes.
"Yes. It's been really sunny today." He chuckled at my reaction.
"Okay. Let's go.." I looked around, "To the bar!" I cheered.
Jin's face lit up as he gave me a nod, "I'll only let you get drunk since you've graduated. I promise you'll get home safely."
I hummed with a nod, approving.
"What about your car?" I asked.
"I'll ask Yoongi to pick it up with Hoseok."
"Okay."
.
"Damn~" A girl hooted Jin the moment he walked in, then her voice died down once I caught up to him, "Oh."
The two of us looked around the bar, it had early-drinkers and shy-drinkers. I wouldn't fit in with shy drinkers since I knew I was going to easily get drunk.
40 minutes later
"Have you drank before?" Jin asked, sipping his martini.
"Yes." I nodded.
"Really?" He frowned.
"Yes." I repeated, sipping my Manhattan beverage.
"That's odd." Jin shrugged.
My eyes were pulsing, that's when I knew I was intoxicated. Not too much, of course.
"Excuse me." I smiled at Jin then stood up from my bar stool.
I wonder if I'm actually drunk. To test my thoughts, I began stepping on the center of the tiles, imagining I'm on a tightrope to test my balance.
"What are you doing?" Jin laughed from behind me.
"I'm imagining it's a tightrope so I can test my balance." I explained.
He gave me a confused look.
Yep, I'm definitely drunk. Think it through and don't make a fool of yourself, Iyagi. Think what through? My thoughts or my talking?? I have to pee.
My body approached the women's room.
"Wait, is this the lady's room?" I studied the picture of a character wearing a dress on the restroom door.
"What if it's a man with a trench coat.." I turned around to look at the other restroom door, "And that's a woman wearing skinny jeans....."
"Aha! I'm pretty smart." I smirked with myself, taking myself to the other restroom door and walking in.
"This isn't the lady's room."
It's been 7 seconds. Jin won't stop smiling at me. He's a cutie, but it's getting awkward with the silence-ative moments.
"Are you cold?" Jin asked as we stood up from the bar stools.
"No." I shook my head then looked down at my arm, seeing goosebumps even though I was feeling warm.
"Looks like you are." He chuckled.
"Weird." I shrugged with a yawn.
"It's 11. Do you want to go home and rest?" Jin asked.
My eyes wandered to a building with neon lights.
"Let's go there!"
"The nightclub?" He frowned at me.
"Yes, come on it'll just be for a little bit!" I pleaded, hugging onto his arm.
"Fine, alright." He sighed.
"Yes~!"
That's where things got crazy.
