"You look pretty."
.
"Yoongi-ah!" Jimin called from the water after seeing Yoongi sit in the sand by himself.
Well, not by himself. Jin was there too, but he was further away from Yoongi.
"Yes?" Yoongi called back, holding his knees to his chest while rubbing his toes into the sand.
"Come on. Get in the water with us!" Jimin pleaded with a bright smile, splashing the water at Namjoon in the process.
"No, I'm okay." He waved his hand at Jimin, almost insisting.
"You guys are so childish." Jin shook his head.
"And you?" I smirked, "You act like you're Jungkook's age half the time."
"Ooh...." The boys boomed under their breath.
"I do not." Jin frowned.
"You do." I gasped, "Or do you prefer being called.. Old?"
"Old?" He scoffed.
"Ahjussi, be careful of your back!" I teased.
"Yah!" He stood up, marching over to the shore.
I snickered then began yelping, trying to run in the water to the other boys for protection as Jin was stomping through the soft current, making his way to me.
"Jungkookie-ah!" I panicked, quickly going to him.
"IYAGI, HURRY!" He dramatically held his arms out for me.
"HE'S BEHIND YOU, IYAGI!" I shrieked, feeling a pair of slender fingers grip my waist, pulling me back away from Jungkook's safety.
"JUNGKOOK-AH!!!!" I shrieked, squirming at the pointy fingers tickle my sides.
"Take back what you said, or I'll drop you!" Jin surprisingly lifted me onto his shoulders, only holding my hands tightly for my balance's sake.
"Drop her!" Jimin and Taehyung cheerer.
"YAH!" I snapped at them, the feeling of my nails digging into Jin's palms worried me slightly.
"Let her down, Jin." Yoongi laughed.
"Take it back, Iyagi. I'm not old!" Jin repeated, making the moment intense by rocking back and forth in the water.
"Fine!--- I take it back! You're not old..." Jin looked up at me, smirking and squinting his eyes at the sunlight.
"...Ahjussi." His smirk dropped. So did I.
In seconds I was in the water, the feeling of my wet, silky hair swaying in my face. I can't really open my eyes under water so I was struggling to find something to grab onto. It was an instinct.
I gripped something, then figured out which direction I was facing, that helped me to raise my head above the water correctly.
Just so you know, I'm fairly shorter than Jin so the depth of the water was swim-deep for me.
I let go of whatever once my head was completely out of the water, where I rubbed my eyes of water.
Once my eyes opened, I looked around, seeing all the boys snickering and Jin with a red-hot-blushing face.
"What?" A frown grew on my face as I ran my fingers through my hair, evening out my drenched black hair so it was a slick-back look.
"You grabbed onto his hip." I looked over, seeing Jungkook with a mischievous grin, holding his green nose-goggles.
"Oh." I looked to Jin whom was pursing his lips, "Sorry?"
"It's fine." He shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Don't be so flustered." I pushed him, letting out a laugh.
"I'm not." He peaked a smile.
"Boo! Kiss already!" Tae beamed.
This caused both Jin and I to blush. The two of us shot a glare at him while all the other boys quietly agreed, except Jimin and Yoongi.
Yoongi, by the way, was sleeping on the sand already.
.
"Wanna go back?" Jin asked.
"Huh?... Oh, no.. I like this time." I shrugged, admiring the heat of 9pm in the neighborhood.
Somehow the boys has bored Jin and I enough for us to go on a walk. When he went out for some 'fresh air', Hoseok encouraged me to talk to him.
That brings us to now. It's been a long day, but I had fun.
"Jin?" I looked down at my finger, pinching a hangnail with my short nails.
"Hm?" He looked over at me with a plump smile.
"Why were you mad at Yoongi today?"
Jin stopped, the two of us at the end of the sidewalk where the lamppost just turned on coincidentally as soon as we stopped underneath it.
"I didn't like the way he was touching you." After a minute he finally answered.
"Jin, he was just drying my legs."
"I think if it's above the knee, you'd better do it yourself."
"He was just being polite. Plus, we're both adults, what does it matter to you?" I smirked cockily.
"Matter?" He scoffed, "You think after taking your v-card I wouldn't give a damn about you??"
That's when my mood dropped. I can't explain it, but I have a sudden soreness in my chest. Why?
"So." I muttered, not being able to look him in the eyes, "You grew concerned feelings for me just because I lost my virginity to you?"
"....."
"I told you not to stress over that!" I yelled, causing him to flinch.
"That's not what I meant. Don't get so upset."
"Upset??" A scoff left my mouth, "For once will you ever compliment me?! Do I have to be that desperate?!"
"What?.." He blinked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Don't you ever think romantically of me, Jin?" I muttered, slouching.
"Iyagi--"
"Not my name! Do you? Anything to say?!" I was losing it; How could this happen?
"That's exactly what I thought." I glared up at him before scoffing, turning away to look at the dark street.
"You look pretty."
Did I hear him right? Wait, that wasn't Jin.. Was it really?
My head turned slowly until I made eye contact with him.
"What?"
"Do you want me to say it again?" A grin grew on his face. A flattering one that oddly made my stomach spin.
"..Say what?" I repeated again, still shocked by what he said.
"I said, you're beautiful." My eyes flashed to the sidewalk underneath us. I couldn't look at him now.. Not with this red face.
"You're like star dust. Huh, gorgeous?.."
"I can't believe you're comparing me to space.." I muttered stubbornly in a mimicking tone.
His fingers gripped my jaw, forcing me gently to look at him. His eyes studied my face as I frowned.
Until my heart stopped.
Within a split second he had pulled my face to his, gently smashing his lips against mine if that's even possible.
How do you expect me to breathe?
Oh, god I want to cry.
