Chapter 2: The Fateful Meeting

A couple weeks went by after the meeting occurred. Since than Tatsumi had been going through vigorous amounts of training and was granted a mission with Leone.

Him and her were to take out a leader of a small but vast prostitution ring in the east while Mine & Sheele took out the head in the west.

As Mine & Sheele both retreated succeeding their mission the two friends were ambushed by Seryu who used the Imperial Arms Hekatonkheires, or Koro is what she called him. Koro was a small dog like looking creature. Seryu was a girl with orangish hair and eyes, but deep within those eyes all you could see were insanity and lust for justice.

"You must be part of Night Raid. You killed someone very dear to me now I'm gonna kill you two." Seryu said with the look of excitement.

"You think you can take us out. You're stupider than you look." Mine said laughing to what she had just heard.

"Koro let's go." Seryu said with a smile of insanity. Koro then started growing bigger and wider almost three times the size as Seryu herself.

Mine quickly grabbed her Imperial Arms Pumpkin, which was like a sniper rifle but it responded to the users emotions and got stronger if they were in a pinch. She clicked the trigger and fired ten to fifteen large bursts causing dirt and smoke to fly up into the air blocking everyone's vision. When the smoke cleared Koro was still standing with multiple wounds in his chest, but to Sheele and Mine's surprise the large wounds inflicted all healed up.

"Fetch Koro." Koro roared loudly almost knocking the two Assassins off balance. When they regained their footing the Imperial Arm ran towards them at full force. Reacting quickly Sheele pulled out her Imperial Arm Extase, which was a giant pair of scissors which could cut anything and everything in the world. She swung them and cut Koro in half making his upper half fly right over the two and the lower drift towards the right.

"Nice job Sheele." Mine said with a smile to her best friend.

"This isn't over yet." She said with a serious look on her face. Mine quickly looked to where she was looking to see that the beast was moving together and becoming whole. "Mine can you take care of this thing?"

"Leave it to me." Mine said holding up Pumpkin towards her opponent. Sheele quickly looked towards Seryu with intention to kill. "Be Careful."

"You too." Sheele said before racing towards Seryu. She swung the scissors missing her target by an inch.

"Ha you'll have to try harder to that." Seryu said pulling out the twin machine pistols installed into her arms. Sheele looked at them surprised and quickly dogged as bullets sprayed toward her.

Mine quickly dodging one of Koro's attacks lands on her feet and fires a few shots before having to jump away again. "Got to find the core to this thing." She holds up Pumpkin and pulls the trigger cleaning off apart of his shoulder revealing the core. "There it is!"

At the same time Sheele moves behind Seryu swiftly. "Die!" Seryu screamed turning around but it was too late. Before she had realized it both her arms were completely cut off by Sheele's Extase.

Seryu realizing both Koro and her might be killed she screamed out to the top of her lungs,"KORO BERSERKER MODE!!!"

The Imperial Arms started to change. It's eyes and body became red and the arms and legs that looked so feeble and weak grew muscles, becoming stronger. The visible core that was exposed submerged into its body again to be hidden from the sniper's view.

"Damn it." She quickly held up Pumpkin again but before she could pull the trigger the beast had already moved in and hit her on the left side causing Mine's arm to break. Her body hit the floor and she grabbed her arm in pain. Koro then picked her up with his right hand and was about to eat her when Sheele moved in cutting the beasts left arm.

As her body hit the floor Mine looked up to Sheele. She smiled a little but only for a brief second as a bullet went through Sheele's chest.

"NOO!!!" Mike screamed as Sheele slowly fell towards the floor. Tracing to where the bullet was fired Mine saw Seryu who had her mouth open only to reveal a hidden gun installed inside. As Mine looked back towards her falling friend Koro took advantage and moved in about to decapitate the young woman.

Mine closed her eyes not wanting to watch her friend be killed. She heard a loud thud and felt a gust of air blow by her. As she opened her eyes her friend was on the ground in one piece. When she looked to her left she saw Koro being punched in the chest by some stranger.

"Looks like I made it just in time." The man said. Almost instantaneously his fist burst into flames. "Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon." With this the large beast went flying only to land beside its master. "Hey pink hair. Get your friend out of here. I'll hold these two off till you can get away."

Mine looked at him and then to her friend who was still breathing, but losing blood.

"The names Drew." He said in a calm voice as he looked back upon Koro who was slowly getting up. "And you can call me a Dragon Slayer." He hit his fists together and a ring of fire appeared around him. "Now run and live. Run and fight another day Night Raid!"
