As light shined into the small window it danced along the floor and onto the bed making it's way onto Drew's eyes. As it got brighter and intensified all Drew could do was throw his pillow over his face. When it became too much to ignore he finally arose and the pillow fell off his face. "You're finally awake." A familiar voice said from the corner of the room. Drew looked over to see Najenda standing in the corner of the small house. "You've been out for about twelve hours though I can't say I can blame you after everything that happened." She said with a glum expression.

He looked away from her and looked at the pillow resting at his lap. He remembered all the events that had aspired in the last twenty-four hours. He wish he could forget but there were there like a fly sticking to a spiders web. "Where's everyone else?" He asked looking at her.

She firmly pushed herself off the wall and walked over to his bedside. "They all went out scouting to make sure our position wasn't compromised. You made one hell of a show yesterday with all that commotion." She said placing her left hand on her hip.

"Well something had to be done. I couldn't just leave things as they were." He said looking out towards the window. "I couldn't kill Kurome, but I did destroy the last of her puppets and injured Wave. That's better than nothing really." He said cupping his hands and moving them to his face.

Najenda put her metallic hand on his shoulder. "But you're thinking it's not enough to avenge Chelsea." Drew covered his eyes trying to hide the small tears forming. "Her grave is right outside. Take as long as you like." He nodded and got out of bed heading outside.

As he walked out bandages around his waist, chest, and arms became more revealing. It was like he had received no injured during the fight but in reality he had did more damage then he wish to know. He slowly but sternly made his way towards the back of the house where the small grave was for their fallen comrade. As he kneeled down and looked upon it he wished he had saved her so that each and everyone of Night Raid could at least relax and be happy for the victory they had accomplished. Instead it turned into despair and agony as they wished she was still. He put his hands together and prayed hoping she would be able to make it to whatever this world considered heaven. Though she had done bad deeds of killing it wasn't all bad or terrible, but more for the future of this world. A better future where rule of this kingdome doesn't rain down like a bloodied sword ready to kill again. As he finished his prayer Drew, looking at the small tombstone, reflected upon his previous adventures in the other four worlds and how some brought the toll of death. The first time he had ever experienced the death of someone close to him however was when he had visited the second world, a world he called "The Demon's Realm." This world, though peaceful, was filled with dangerous demons which killed people and consumed their very soul. When he had first appeared he was only a small boy, which for him was weird as he appeared in other worlds as he was always the same age as he was back in his world. Though small and weak he had possessed an ability which scared most humans and demons. The accursed blue flames. These flames are said to be the ones that marked you as the next Demon Lord of Hell. Though these flames can prove harmful to humans a single woman, Celia, a woman with dark blue hair and with brown eyes. She herself was a woman like any other and accepted Drew like he was her son. However this angered a lot of people in the city she lived in though no one would step in to do anything since Celia was one of the greatest people in the city. Than one night a pack of hugs hired by some of the citizens killed her and burned down her house. Though she died it wasn't by the thugs but by his very hands he thought. As he thought back more and more a sudden voice broke his train of voice. "Drew are you ok?" The voice asked. It was coming from behind him. He snapped back into reality to see who was standing behind him. It was a black haired girl with Ruby colored eyes, Akame. He didn't say anything but just looked at her with a plain face. She kneeled down and looked at him closer. "Are you ok Drew?" She asked again only to get no response.

The words finally hit him and he nodded to respond. She gave him a small smile and gently rubbed the top of his head like he was some kind of dog. "Hey what are you doing?" He mumbled out the words as he looked up with his eyes watching the hand move back and forth across the top of his head.

She smiled a little more before it returned to nothingness. "Just trying to make you and me feel better I guess though I don't suppose it's working so much." She said before moving around to Drew's side and helping him up. "Common let's get you inside. We have to head to our new base tomorrow. You got to recover a little more before we leave." She said in a kind of motherly tone.

He looked at her and was a bit surprised. 'She acted a little bit like Celia.' He thought. This made him smile and close his eyes as they walked back in. 'I may have lost her.' He thought as a image of Celia popped in his head. 'I may have lost other allies along the way.' Other people start to appear. Two of them being Bulat and Chelsea. 'But I will keep moving forward just like you taught me. Thank you, Celia.' He said before the image of her and the others disappeared. 'I will never forget any of you.'

The End of Chapter 22

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys, Shadow here and I realize it's been at least two to three weeks since I've posted a chapter. Reason being I've had writers block so I decided to try and take my mind off it for a but but now I'm back. However this book will only have about ten to fifteen chapters left. Yes I know but why. Well first off I wanted to keep every book under thirty to forty chapters long reason being that I don't want people to read over fifty or sixty chapters and have them lose interest. Second is that I don't have a lot of time since soon I'll be going to college so I want to get every book I wanted to do done by the second year of college than start working on trying to get it magnetized (not a real word I know but still sounds cool). Third is that I wanted to try and find a artist to make a cover for the book and for future ones to come. So I apologize if you are reading it and wanted to read more but were disappointed with the lack of chapters released but I promise you from now on all chapters will be about 2 to 5 pages long and be put on every Friday though there will be instances when I will publish a little earlier so I can start working on the next book sooner. Well again thank you for reading and I hope you are enjoying the book so far!
