Chapter 13: The Lingering Feeling of Home

Susanoo, Tatsumi, Akame, and Drew all stood beside the giant beast that Akame killed and waited for the Danger Beast to swoop down and pick them up. Tatsumi let his armor disintegrate and change back to Incursio's key before walking over to Drew who was looking at the badly damaged Night Raid Base. "Guess we can't go back there if they know where we are huh?" Drew said staring at the base forged among the mountain.

"Yeah seems like we are gonna have to move." Tatsumi looked at the base too but more at the hill which extended towards the valley where Sayo, Ieyasu, and Bulat. He than let out a short sigh and walked back over to Stylish's large dead body.

Akame walked over to Drew since most of the poison was out of her system. She looked up at him as he stared off at the base. "You ok?" She asked.

"Yeah I'll be alright. I'm just glad no one got hurt or killed." He smiled and look down at her. She smiled a little back and looked back hearing the Danger Beast land before them.

Najenda stood up and looked at all of them. Leone and Lubbock were the first to be picked up while Mine was still on it from giving cover fire during the battle. "Everyone on board. We are leaving immediately!"

"Yes mam!" Everyone had said in unison. Drew walked over to the manta ray like creature and then quickly turned around looking at the base one last time before sitting down on the beast. The Danger Beast rose off of the ground and levitated in the air ascending higher and higher. Than it took off fast among the clouds.

During the trip to their new area of operations Najenda personally introduced the new members of Night Raid. "First here we have Susanoo. As you can tell he's my organic Imperial Arms." Susanoo bowed being as polite as possible. "Next here we have Chelsea." the mysterious figure took off its hood and revealed itself to be a orange haired girl with reddish eyes like Akame's. She was sucking on a sucker and had headphones on. She waved to all of us not saying a word. "She carries the Imperial Arms Gaea Foundation. This teigu allows her to disguise herself as anything which has allowed her to complete multiple assassinations." Everyone looked at the girl and she seemed to be happy with all the attention. Drew though wouldn't turn around. He kept his back to everyone and was looking in the opposite direction that the Manta was going.

Chelsea looked at him and scooted over to where he was. "Hi i'm Chelsea. Its nice to meet you." She said with a smile. Drew gave no response and no recognition that she was even there. She than moved around to look him directly in the eyes. "Hey are you even listening to me?" Her voice of angry quickly grew to a voice of confusion. "Ummm is he going to be ok?" She asked looking at everyone as they turned around to meet her gaze.

Akame was the first one to respond as she moved closer. "What is it?" She said getting right next to the two. She than looked at Drew in the eyes to see his eye color was changing. First to brown, then green, then yellow, then a dark blue, then to light blue and lastly white appearing in his right eye and black in his left before returning to his original color, orange. She had seen the same pattern on Drew's pendent with brown, green, yellow, dark blue, and light blue, and orange being the colors that make up the outer crystals while a combination of black and white make up the center. Akame's eyes widened and realized that she had seen this once before the night Drew was brought into Night Raid. She remembered distinctly that his eyes had shined blue that night for a brief second. This though was different. His eyes were changing color quickly without stopping. She quickly grabbed Drew's shoulders. "Drew. Drew wake up. Drew!" She shook him harder until the color of his eyes went to orange and stayed that way.

A few seconds after the color stayed Drew blinked a couple times to see Akame right in front of her and to see a Orange haired girl as well. "A-akame?" He than looked around seeing everyone. Their eyes were glued on him. Najenda though looked at him as if he had died. "What happened?" He said looking at Akame.
