Mathew and Lindsey stayed downstairs while Stevie comforted Destiny.
Aiden heard what was going on, so he took Robin to play tea party in her room to keep her preoccupied for a while. Sure he hated playing tea party but in this moment he couldn't be selfish.
"You're the best big brother ever!" Robin said excitedly.
Aiden soften after that and continued to play with his little sister.Mathew was heartbroken; he wanted a child with the women he loves. Destiny took each loss hard and this time was no exception.
Lindsey spoke words of wisdom and comfort to Mathew and Mathew listened intently.Making sure Destiny was in deep sleep, Stevie slipped out and walked downstairs to find Lindsey and her son in law.
She found them in the living room, both men looked up as she walked into the room.
She greeted Mathew because she didn't get the chance to when they had arrived.Stevie then stepped back and said. "I think it's best if Destiny stays the night."
Mathew nodded. "I agree. She needs you right now. I'll come back in the morning."Lindsey and Stevie walked Mathew out then they walked back in and Stevie wrapped her arms around Lindsey and laid her head on his chest and began to sob.
"I hate to see Destiny like this." Stevie cried. "I wish I could take her pain away."
Lindsey held Stevie in his arms and gently rubbed her back. "I know me too." Lindsey said. "Let's get ready for bed and I'll sleep in the guest room tonight."
"Thank you." Stevie said as she wiped her tears away. She kissed his lips then walked upstairs.Lindsey changed into pajamas then said goodnight to Stevie. He then walked to Robin's room to tuck her in. When he opened the door, he found Robin putting bows in Aiden's hair.
Robin looked up and saw her father standing at the door. She smiled and said. "Look daddy! Aiden let me put bows in his hair!"
Aiden's eyes widened; he thought Lindsey was going to tell him something negative and be angry.Lindsey chuckled and said. "It's okay. She's put bows in my hair too. Oh! And makeup. Thank goodness there's no pictures! Thank you for keeping her busy Aiden."
Aiden let out a sigh then said while taking the bows out of his hair. "No problem dad. I knew Destiny needed a moment with mom." He then turned to Robin. "Well munchkin, its time for bed! I'll see you in the morning."
"Okay. Good night Aj!" Robin said as she gave her big brother a hug and a kiss on his cheek.Aiden walked out of the room after telling his little sister and father goodnight then he retreated to his room.
Lindsey went over to Robin and lifted her up and said. "Ready for bed princess?"
"No." Robin said; just like her mother, she was a night owl.Lindsey shook his head and chuckled. "Well, okay you can stay up for thirty more minutes but then it's time for bed okay?"
"Thank you daddy!" Robin said and gave Lindsey a kiss on his cheek. "Where's mommy?" She then asked.
"She's in her room with Destiny." Lindsey said.
"Can I go say goodnight?" Robin asked.
"Of course, come on. But let's go in quietly just in case your big sister is asleep. She isn't feeling well." Lindsey said as he put Robin on her feet then took her hand and led her to Stevie's and his bedroom.Lindsey peeked in and saw Stevie laying awake holding onto Destiny.
Stevie felt Lindsey's presence; she smiled a little as she saw Robin standing next to Lindsey.Stevie motioned for them to come closer.
"Robin wanted to say goodnight." Lindsey whispered.Stevie gently moved away from Destiny to sit up. Robin walked over and Stevie lifted her up onto the bed.
Robin saw Destiny sleeping next to their mother and knew that something bad had happened.
Robin had seen it before; each time Destiny's heart was broken from the news of not being able to be a mother, that's when Destiny would come over and be comforted by Stevie. Of course, Robin didn't understand fully but she knew that Destiny would sleep over and be sad for a while and that Lindsey would sleep in the guest bedroom.
