That night when Lindsey got home, Stevie didn't speak to him. Dinner was served and still they had not spoken a word. Destiny, Mathew and Aiden heard about what happened in the studio and were aware that Stevie and Lindsey wouldn't be speaking to each other anytime soon.

Destiny looked over and noticed Stevie wasn't eating; she was worried, both for her mother and for her baby.
"Mom? Are you okay?" Destiny asked tentatively.
Stevie looked up at her and said with tears in her eyes but she didn't let them fall. "Yes. I'm okay. I just...I don't feel well. I think I'll go straight up to bed."

Stevie stood up and excused herself. She was about to walk out of the dining room when she stopped and held onto the wall with one hand and held her belly with the other.

Destiny rushed to Stevie's side. "Mom, what's wrong?"
Stevie breathed in and out for a few seconds then said as she straightened out. "Nothing. I'm just having Braxton Hicks contractions. I'll be fine in a few seconds." Destiny watched her mother closely as Stevie straitened up and said. "See, its over now."

Destiny still had a worried look on her face.
Stevie put her hands on her shoulders and said with a small smile. "Des, I promise I'm fine. If it was something more, I would tell you and we would go to the hospital right now."
Destiny sighed then gave her mother a hug. "Okay. I'm sorry for being on edge." She said.
"It's understandable. You want to make sure your baby is okay." Stevie said.
"I'm worried about you too mom." Destiny said as she looked into Stevie's eyes.

Stevie smiled then hugged Destiny once again. She then pulled away and said. "I love you baby girl."
"I love you too mom." Destiny said. "Go get some rest. I'll check on you in a bit."
Stevie nodded and left the room. She walked upstairs and walked into her bedroom then laid down on her bed. She ended up falling asleep as soon as her head hit her pillow.

Back downstairs, Destiny was upset with Lindsey. "Dad...I get that you want this album done a certain way, but you can't keep stressing mom out. Did you see her?! She doesn't look good at all."

Lindsey hung his head; he knew how stubborn and how much of a perfectionist he was. He knew he shouldn't be stressing Stevie out; her health and the baby's health was so important.
He apologized to Destiny then he excused himself to go check on Stevie.

He walked into the bedroom and saw Stevie fast asleep on their bed. He walked over and carefully climbed in; he moved closer to her side and put an arm around her.
She stirred and her eyes fluttered open, meeting his blue grey gaze.

She wanted to pull away, but she was too exhausted to move. She just closed her eyes again and tried to ignore him.

"I'm so sorry Steph, for how I've been acting." Lindsey said quietly.
Stevie opened her eyes again; she stayed quiet for a few more seconds then she leaned into him and wrapped her arm around him while resting her head on his shoulder. "I forgive you." She said, her voice still groggy from sleep.
"Give me a few days and...I'll get everything settled at the studio." Lindsey said. "For now, you stay home and get some rest."
Stevie nodded. "Okay. Thank you."

Lindsey kissed the top of her head then he placed his hand on her belly. "I bet our granddaughter wasn't too happy with me for making you upset?"
"No, she wasn't." Stevie said with a chuckle. She then got serious and said. "I was scared there was something wrong with her."
Lindsey rubbed her belly and closed his eyes. "Again I'm sorry. I know you don't need any of this that's been going on...it's just...well, you know how am."
"I know too well." She said. "But, from now on, we have to communicate better and...if another issue arises, then we can't have it escalate into something more."
Lindsey nodded and held her a bit tighter. "I love you."
"I love you too." Stevie replied.
