Something in you brought out something in me
That I've never been since
That part of me that was only for you
That kind of romance
Comes only once, that kind of love
That kind of fever dance
That you love because you've become someone else
In an instantSay you will, say you will give me one more chance
At least give me time to change your mind
That always seems to heal the wounds
If I can get you to dance...."Look Alice, do you see grandma?" Destiny said to her daughter as they watched Stevie and Lindsey perform from back stage.
Alice smiled, giggled and waved her arms around as she spotted her grandmother on stage; she had on some baby noise reduction headphones to protect her ears from the loud music but could still hear her mother's voice. Robin was by her big sister's side mimicking Stevie's dance moves and singing along.
Aiden had found a spot in the audience to watch the concert from. He did this most of the time, blending into the audience so he wouldn't be recognized.Alice watched on; she was now six months old; over the period of the past six months, Destiny and Mathew had been staying with Stevie and Lindsey until they had found a new house to live in. With a struck of luck, they found the perfect house and it was right next to Stevie's, which Stevie was really happy about. She loved having her daughter and granddaughter so close.
After Alice's birth, Stevie began to diet and exercise to lose the baby weight she had gained. Rehearsals began soon after and the band prepared for the upcoming tour.
When Alice was three months old, the Say You Will album was released and soon after, Stevie and Lindsey said goodbye to their daughter and granddaughter and left to begin the Say You Will tour. Aiden and Robin joined their parents on the road and were excited to travel.
Now that Alice was seven months old, Destiny decided to join her siblings and parents on the road bringing Alice with her. She would only join them for a few weeks before heading back home. Mathew had to work but he would join them on a later date for some of the tour dates.
Finally, Stevie was now singing the final song and it was Goodbye Baby. Stevie had decided to put the song on the set list for the tour. She felt as if singing the song in front of an audience, that it would give her a sense of peace and closure. Of course, she did have her moments when she would let a few tears slip down her cheeks then there would be times when she would break down as soon as she left the stage. Lindsey would hold her until she had cried herself out.
But tonight, she didn't do any crying; tonight she actually got through the song without becoming too emotional. When she finished the song she felt a sense of peace wash through her and she was able to smile. She felt her baby boy close and knew he was watching over her and that he was happy.
Once the band got backstage, they grabbed a bottle of water and all gave each other praise for another wonderful show. They wiped of their sweat with some towels and walked to their dressing rooms. Lindsey and Stevie shared one dressing room.
As they walked in, Robin rushed to her parents side and reached for her father.
Lindsey lifted her up into his arms and kissed her cheek. "Did you enjoy the show princess?"
"Yes daddy! You and mommy, uncle Mick and uncle John did a good job!" Robin said excitedly.
"Well, thank you baby." Stevie replied and kissed her cheek. Robin hugged her mother but continued to stay in Lindsey's arms.Suddenly, they all heard a noise of impatience coming from Alice. They turned and saw Alice struggling in Destiny's arms; she was reaching for Stevie.
Stevie smiled wide then walked over to Destiny who she hugged first then reached for her granddaughter bringing her into her arms.
"Hey baby girl! Aren't you little Ms. impatient." Stevie giggled as she then kissed Alice's cheek.
"Did you enjoy the show Alice?" Stevie asked in a baby voice. "Did grandma and grandpa do a good job?"
Alice baby babbled excitedly and giggled.
Stevie laughed then said. "I'll take that as a yes."
Alice continued to babble then she rested her head on Stevie's shoulder, her arms around her grandmother in a hug. Stevie closed her eyes and sighed in content.
Stevie spent a few moments with Alice then handed her back to her mother so she could change before leaving the arena and making their way to their hotel.
