One month had passed and the process had begun to prepare Stevie for the implantation of Destiny's embryo.

The first step was to have Stevie checked over by her doctor to see if her uterus was healthy enough. Her doctor, Dr. Bartlett, had said that Stevie was very healthy and she gave them the green light to go ahead for surrogacy.

Dr. Bartlett was very understanding; she had known the Buckingham family for many years, since she delivered Aiden. She has been the family's doctor ever since then.

Dr. Bartlett has also known about Destiny's fertility troubles. So, after making sure Stevie was healthy enough, she was more than happy to help Destiny achieve her goal of having a baby.

Stevie and Destiny had started taking their medications together.
Destiny took medication to increase her egg production and Stevie had to take several medications to prepare her body and her uterus for pregnancy.

Mathew was a little creeped out about the idea of his mother in law carrying his child but then he realized that Stevie was only helping Destiny and him have a child.

He was grateful but then again, the weight of his affair was weighing heavily on him. He felt as if they should wait a while longer before trying to have a child. He felt as if he didn't deserve Destiny or their future child. Also, when Mathew went back to work after that night, he asked for a transfer. He didn't want anything to do with Madison. A few days later of asking for the transfer, his boss granted his request.
Mathew felt as if he could breath again; but still he knew he had a lot to lose if Destiny were to find out the truth about his infidelity.

Lindsey was very supportive of both his wife and his daughter. However, he was worried about Stevie; if this worked and Stevie became pregnant, he was worried about how the pregnancy would affect her. Both physically and emotionally; he was afraid she would get too attached or that there might be some complications for her and the baby. But Stevie assured him that she knew what she was getting herself into.
She was carrying her grandchild to help him or her grow until they were born and able to live on their own. She joked and said she would be a "human incubator".

All four adults agreed that they wouldn't announce anything until they knew for sure that Stevie was pregnant and when she was in the second trimester. Although, they did tell Aiden and Karen what was going on.
Stevie didn't want to tell Robin just yet because she didn't want to confuse her; plus she was trying to figure out a child friendly way to tell her that mommy was having a baby for her big sister.

If everything worked out, they were only going to tell family and close friends. Not many would be so understanding about Stevie's decision about being Destiny's surrogate.

Also, Stevie would lay low from going out in public; they didn't want to risk Stevie being seen while pregnant.

However, Lindsey came to Stevie one day after a day at the studio with Mick and John and told her what everyone had discussed that day. The band wanted a camera crew to film the process of the recording of the new album.

Lindsey spoke up for Stevie and said that she would be okay with it. Which of course, Stevie wasn't. In the moment, it completely slipped Lindsey's mind that Stevie would be showing at the time of recording.

Stevie was angry because, one, they made a decision without her and two, Lindsey spoke up for her and she hated when he did that.
