Where my journey begins

This was it. Today was finally the day I’d been waiting for, for so long. I was on my way to the most infamous guild in Fiore. Fairytail.

I wasn’t the strongest wizard but I’d been training so hard over the summer I was sure I was ready. It was my dream to join fairytail since I was a child and today was the day that dream would come true.

I was 23 years old not exactly young, to be honest it was a bit late to be joining a guild but there was only one place I would ever join and I didn’t want to go knocking on their door if I didn’t have anything useful to contribute. I didn’t want to let them down and so I worked a normal job and trained everyday to hone my magic until I was satisfied.

The grand magic games were over for the year and my beloved guild was back on top where it belonged. After 7years the lost members had finally returned and the townsfolk of Magnolia were so proud of their achievements at the games they gave them a new guild hall. I couldn’t contain my excitement as I neared the top of the small incline where the guild sat looking over the town.

Standing in front of the huge front entrance I took in a deep breath and gave my long black hair I kept in a ponytail a quick flick and finally raised my fist giving the door a swift hard knock.

No answer came and so I tried again. Nothing. In the end I let all manners go flying out the window and started banging on the door in a very unladylike fashion.

“HELLO IS ANYONE IN THERE!?”

I yelled over and over.
I almost gave up when suddenly the door gave way and still thinking it was there supporting me I went crashing to the ground.

I was thankful at that moment that I had decided to wear pants that day as my legs went flailing around in the air and anyone close by would have received an eye full.

“What do you want?” someone said In a deep but bored tone.

I looked up into the most enchanting eyes I’d ever seen. Not quite blue but more of a grey, they reminded me of my unique howlite ring I always wore.

It was also an unusual grey rather than the more common white speckled stone. I’d unconsciously started fidgeting with it again where it sat on my right Index finger.

When I finally snapped out of my daze I stood up glaring at the blond god in front of me being careful to avoid looking into his eyes too long.

“What are you thinking opening the door so suddenly on someone you big oaf!?” I yelled poking him in the chest multiple times.

I stopped doing it altogether as my finger started to hurt a bit, his chest was so firm my finger felt bruised by the end if it.

“You knocked, usually when someone knocks you answer the door, or was I wrong in thinking you were wanting to come in?” he said in the same voice.

I didn’t like his tone one bit.

“Of course I want to come in idiot I need to join your guild!” I practically growled at him, but when I opened my eyes again he was already walking away.

Oh no he didn't just walk away from me! I ran after him grabbing onto his shirt sleeve and tugging.

“Hey don’t walk away from me when I'm still talking to you!” I said angrily.

He turned slowly and looked down at me with eyes showing slight annoyance. The hall was quite loud and it was hard craning my neck up to look at him from where I was, being that I was that much shorter than him.

I grabbed a chair from a table next to us and stood on it so it made me a bit taller than him (I get mistaken for a child more often than not).

“Do you know who-“

“Who you are?” I cut him off. I continued getting my serious face on, he really had annoyed me.

“I know exactly who you are Laxus Dreyar. You’re the grandson to the great Makarov Dreyar one of the ten wizard saints and let me tell you I don’t like you. I thought you were fantastic at the grand magic games but it seems the old rumours were true. You're a rude arrogant self centred oaf AND you have no manners!” I yelled.
