My Dragon Slayer (Completed)

Getting to know you

The next morning I was up early freshly showered and dressed and ready to head to the markets to pick up food. Walking down the street people were just getting out and about starting their day.

It was beautiful the sun was shining bright as it’s warm rays touched my skin. I put on something comfy today as I thought I’d probably end up doing a lot of walking, there was a lot to buy. My first stop was a few bits and pieces to perk up the apartment.

I didn’t bring a lot of things with me the journey would have been too difficult. I then proceeded to pick up various vegetables and other food related items in order to be able to feed myself for the next few weeks.

By the time I was ready to head home my arms were full. I had 2 bags on each arm as well as having to cradle some. They were piled so high I was struggling to see where I was walking and just to prove that point I managed to crash into someone.

I had put my bags down to help the poor person I had knocked over when I got a look at who it was.

“I’m so sorry I... You!” looking up from the ground slightly annoyed was none other than the golden dragon slayer himself. Laxus.

“Why are you carrying that many bags at once? You can’t even see!” he grumbled as I gave him a hand up from the concrete.

“I didn’t realise I needed so much stuff and then I refused to make a second trip. It’s fine I was managing” I grumbled crossing my arms in a possibly defiant manner.

“You call that managing? You knocked me over!” he growled

“Well you should’ve been watching where you were going!” I yelled back.

“Whatever.” He said standing. He picked up all my bags and started walking in the direction I had been heading.
I stood starring after him.

“What are you doing?” I asked

“What does it look like I’m carrying your bags for you since you clearly are unable to manage on your own.” He said

I gave out a big huff. How dare he! Yes I may have been having a bit of trouble but I could do it on my own without any help from him! I stormed after him and grabbed my bags from out of his grasp.

“Thanks but no thanks I can take these on my own”

I said once again loading myself up. I tried to organise them a little bit so I could at least see a bit better this time before walking away leaving Laxus standing in the middle of the street.

LAXUS POV

I stood watching after her as that tiny girl carried all those bags alone. She’s so stubborn!

“Little minx is going to be the death of me”  I said more for myself
“...but she is interesting” I finished, giving off a laugh before walking away in the opposite direction.

SABRIEL POV

After packing away everything, I’d managed to squeeze in some breakfast before heading to the guild hall to see what jobs were available.

As I walked into the guild hall I noticed it was a little more chaotic than yesterday. But maybe that was the norm? It was technically my first day here so I had no idea what it was normally like. I walked to the front of the hall and found the master looking a little odd.

“What’s wrong master?” I asked hoping nothing bad had happened.

“Mira hurt her hand last night and can’t come in today everyone’s hungry”

I blinked a couple times “Oh well I could take over for today if you’d like?”

“Would you?!” he said happily

“Now it probably won’t be as good as Mira’s cooking but I can throw something together” I said smiling. Guess looking for a job is tomorrow’s plan.
