Lance found himself stirring in his sleep and began to sweat. He was awake but was not at the same time. His eyes were too heavy to open and his body felt as if it weighed tons. He doesn't recall anything that happened beforehand and why he was so worn out to begin with. Where was he? Why couldn't he wake up? Why did he feel fear creeping up from the depths of his stomach?

Lance's breathing became labored when the fear was too much to bear, so with the utmost determination his dark blue orbs shot wide open along with his stiff body. As he scanned over his surroundings with intense scrutiny  it came to his attention that he was in his room, on his blue covered mattress, and in the castle.

That's right. He was a paladin inside the Altean castle. Chosen to fight as Voltron with his other teammates to save the universe from the worldwide baddie of 10,000 years, Zarkon. This was besides the point. Lance ran his hand over his eyes trying to wipe away the sleep but even with this attempt, it failed horribly since everything around him held only a foggy view. His eyes open, yet so closed.

With a firm grip on his soft comforter, Lance hauled the covers off his body and skillfully hopped out of his suffocating bed. In the thick of the moment it had slipped his attention that he was fully dressed in the casual attire he had always worn. His signature green jacket and light grey t-shirt lying upon, what he thought at least, his perfect body. Even if everything surrounding him implied that it was just a normal morning at the castle it all felt wrong. Something was entirely off and being the great paladin he was, he decided to find the others. What? You thought he was going to go look for the threat himself? Yeah right.

Taking strides that pertained to his long legs, Lance strolled over to the automatic doors to exit his room, not before peering down each end of the long corridor he was stationed in. It was barren and held an abandoned look as he only caught a glimpse of the few lights that shone in certain sections of the lengthy desolate hallway.

"Okay come at me you stupid ghosts," Lance stood tall as if he was actually brave, but immediately slumped over bringing his hands to his chest now holding a cautious look in his nervous eyes, "Or don't. That's fine too."

He decided that maybe he should check on one of the others to see if they were awake because after all, if he could get at least three of the paladins together they could go all ghostbusters on whatever was lurking here. Lance had no idea if there was a ghost or not but it just felt as if someone or something was watching him. He'd rather it be a ghost to get rid of than Zarkon any day.

"Who you gunna call," Lance whispered as he slowly crept out from his sanctuary, his feet making their own steps to wherever they pleased, as his shaky tone was bouncing off the walls of the hallway he shuffled on, "Ghostbusters...."

The singing on Lance's part was to make him feel at ease when he continued onward. He originally planned to go to Shiro's room since he never seemed to actually be frightened by anything, but his legs apparently had a different idea. "No wait why am I going this way."

For some reason he didn't have it in him to turn around, nonetheless he had a sudden boost of adrenaline when his hand reached the crack of the door of the number one most person that he did not want to see in his moment of anguish. His name just made his blood boil and skin turn to flames.

Lance's knuckles grazed upon the door causing it to slide open to a room but not just any room. It opened to his long time rival's old shack in the desert on Earth, "What the quiznak..."

The door led straight to the living room area, if it could even be considered that, with papers and objects scattered about. He had only been here once and just that single time was enough. This place was depressing just like Keith was. Speaking of Keith he was standing near his cork board that held scattered information not long ago about the blue lion. This time it had faces of different people and a few Galrarian symbols.
