EDITED

It's been a few days and so far there's been peace between Mason and the Salvatore brothers. Thank god. I wouldn't be able to handle them arguing and fighting.

Today is the day before the masquerade ball my mother is hosting at our huge house. We've been in Mystic Falls two weeks now and it's only been two weeks since my father's untimely death, and there's already a charity event. But that is such a classic Carol Lockwood move.

Sighing, I carry a box from a huge truck to the back door of the house and on my way my ears catch two voices I didn't expect to hear today.

"Katherine's with Mason Lockwood?" Damon says surprisingly.

I stop in my tracks when I hear that Mason is mentioned.

Stefan sighs,

"We missed it. He got into town right after she did. It makes perfect sense."

Damon stutters a little,

"I know, but Mason Lockwood?! Werewolf thing aside, the guy is a surfer. She's got to be using him. She has to be."

I creep closer to them as they are on the back porch anyways.

"Using him for what?" Stefan asks.

"Mason Lockwood's looking for a moonstone that allegedly can break the full moon werewolf curse. Maybe Katherine wants it as well," Damon suggests.

Stefan looks confused,

"Why?"

Damon shrugs,

"Well...no idea. That's the beauty of Katherine, she's always up to something."

Stefan ponders this and nods in agreement,

"So, how are we gonna find this moonstone?"

Damon smiles,

"Jeremy is getting it from Tyler."

Stefan turns to Damon and he looks annoyed as hell,

"Why would you involve Jeremy?"

Stefan walks past Damon and slaps him on the arm for being a doofus before he continues to walk away.

Damon calls after him,

"He's playing Indiana Jones. He involved himself!"

I walk up to Damon once Stefan is gone,

"I couldn't help but overhear, moonstone, Mason, Tyler?" I ask.

Damon narrows his eyes, clearly not trusting me,

"What do you want little lockwolf?"

I shrug and wink,

"Tyler doesn't have it anymore he gave it to our uncle. Who probably hid it somewhere safe."

Damon nods at me, easing an eyebrow while giving me a look of surprise appreciation,

"Thanks Debria.." and then he walks away.

I'm surprised myself. But I just didn't want them bothering Tyler. Mason can usually handle himself.

I continue unloading boxes from the truck out front when I feel it. Something's wrong with Mason. He's part of my pack, so I feel it deep down when something is horribly wrong.
I start looking around the house for him.
He's nowhere to be found.

Then I take a deep breath and steady myself. I concentrate and sniff him out.
North side of town.
I sniff again.
Vampire.
Damon.
My eyes widen.
Damon took Mason.

I run out of the house and past Tyler and Elena and into the forest near the house. I start running, tearing off my shoes in the process.

Shifting to my full wolf form quickly I speed even faster to Mason, following my nose.
I slow down to a halt when I see a huge house in front of me. Very old and large, slightly Victorian looking. The Salvatore boarding house.

I push the front door open and swipe it closed with my tail.

I pad softly to the parlor room and my wolf body shakes in rage at what I'm seeing.

Mason is chained down to the chair. Damon is heating up an iron poker in the fireplace. Mason is struggling to get out of the chair.

And Damon just looks at him while grinning,

"Someone is feisty."

They didn't notice me due to the fact I came in so quietly and they couldn't sense me because of what I am.

Damon gets up from where he was crouching in front of a blazing fire in the fireplace. Mason continues to struggle and thrusts the chair backwards, falling onto the floor. Damon walks over to him, an iron poker glowing red with heat in one of his hands.

Mason screams up at him, clearly in pain,

"What?!"

Damon sticks the iron poker into Mason's chest. And Mason screams. I let out a soft whimper of sadness and anger.

Damon smiles evilly,

"You can hurt -- good to know. I was afraid you were gonna be some beast mass with no affinity for pain."

Damon pulls Mason's collar down and looks at his wound and frowns,

"Oh, but you heal quickly. Not good. Guess I'll just have to keep applying pain."

This time I growl loudly, which catches Damon's attention. He looks at me, eyes wide in fear at my huge form.
Almost as big as a horse, I'm packed with muscle, my eyes glowing a bright blue for how enraged I am.

"But...theres not a full moon again until next month," Damon says fearfully, his voice trailing off.

I slouch down menacingly, growling all the while, my pearly white teeth bared and ready to rip him to shreds.

Mason stops me from committing a vampire murder by pleading with me,

"Debria! Debria! Just get me out of here. Leave him alone. He's not worth it."

I growl deeper and let my eyes flash the dark blue they do at Damon, my eyes never leaving his scared stance.

"Debria!" Mason warns me again, struggling against his restraints.

I don't let my eyes leave Damon as I slowly walk over to Mason and yank the chains off of him with one tug from my powerful jaw.
Mason stands up and looks at Damon,

"I'll leave town. Katherine wanted the moon stone to lift the curse for me. She said she loves me but truth is, I don't believe her anymore. So just leave us out of this. Debria and I will return to Florida and get out of your hair."

I frown with my wolf face.
I didn't want to return home now that this all just got so interesting.

Mason could go back. Mason should go back.

I kneel down and Mason climbs on my back and I carry him out of the house.
Leaving Damon there in awe of me.
I smile to myself at his fear of me.

I mean if you don't terrify people a little bit, then what's the point?
Exactly.
I'm the most powerful supernatural creature out there and no one can hurt me or my family.....
