Third person POV
Debria looks at the two Salvatore brothers and Elena who were all out of the loop,
"It was their mother Esther who was sealed in that coffin."
Stefan looks puzzled at Debria,
"As in the Original Witch?"
"What? How is she even alive? Thought her hybrid freak show of a son ripped her heart out a thousand years ago," Damon says begrudgingly.
"I don't know. I'm guessing she has a couple connections in the witching community. Elijah said that she wants to live in peace with her family, including Klaus," Debria explains.
Elijah ran into Debria earlier this morning in the woods when she was on a run. She and him caught up a bit and he explained the situation that occurred after she and the Salvatore brothers had left the night before.
Damon looks angry at the situation,
"She was supposed to be the weapon to help us kill Klaus."
"Well, not anymore...at least not according to Elijah," Elena says glumly her long brown hair swaying in front of her face.
"That coffin was the only thing stopping Klaus from tearing us to shreds," Stefan says, his green eyes widening in realization.
Damon raises his hand,
"Anyone else feeling a little used right now?"
Debria snickers at his remark and pushes his arm down.
"Look, Elijah promised me that his family wouldn't hurt any of us," Debria tells them strongly.
Her and Elijah are friends if anything, and she believes him, that bond of familiarity sealing her trust in the original vampire.
The doorbell rings, making Elena head over to the front door.
"I believe him," Debria says, sureness all over her face.
The wolf and the vampires looks over to Elena as she opens the door.
No one is there, but on the doormat is an envelope with an ornately-handwritten Elena Gilbert on the front. Another envelope is beneath it addressed to Debria Lockwood. She picks them up, closes the door, and turns around. Damon and Stefan are in the lobby near Elena, and Debria follows close behind.
"What is it?" Debria asks her as she takes the card addressed to her from Elena.
Elena opens the envelope and removes a card,
"It's an invitation. Please join the Mikaelson Family, this evening at seven o'clock. For dancing, cocktails and celebration."
Stefan looks at Elena,
"Who the hell are the Mikaelsons?"
Debria scans her own letter as she responds to Stefan's question,
"The Original Family."
Damon groans loudly and runs a hand through his raven colored hair,
"It's not bad enough they're moving into town, now they want a housewarming gift?"
Elena turns the card over and sees there's writing on the back,
"Wait, there's a note on the back. Elena, I think it's time that we finally meet, Esther,"
