EDITED
It's been two weeks since Brandon and I have gotten married, and we are so incredibly happy.
I've been pregnant for two months now, and theres no baby bump but my lower abdomen is harder, indicating a baby is definitely growing in there.
We've decided that if it's a girl her name will be Kenna, and if it's a boy Alexander.
Aylee has already knitted a bunch of baby clothes in pink and blue because we don't know the sex yet.
Currently, I am chopping vegetables for dinner this evening, and Brandon is outside chopping firewood. Mr. Keys went into town to get some meat for dinner.
Brandon got me an actual wedding ring, a pearl on a silver band. And I got him a wedding band as well. He knows how much I care for him. I'm still not ready to say the big L word though. And I feel awful about it. But Brandon tells me every day that we have our whole lives for me to catch up to him. I am incredibly thankful for him.
The rhythmic sound of Brandon chopping fire wood ceases and I step outside onto the small front porch to find him sitting there drinking from a bottle of water.
"Hey there," I stand right behind him and play with his hair from above.
He looks up at me, smiling,
"Hey there, gorgeous. How are you?"
"Better, now that I'm standing here with you," I kiss his forehead gently and sit down next to him.
Brandon smiles and looks out into the forest around us, while I keep studying his face. His chiseled jaw line, the deep set of his eyes, the long bridge of his nose, his shaggy brown hair.
In a flash he is standing up, pulling me up with him.
"Someone is here," He says, looking all around us frantically, his ears perked up. His arm wrapped protectively around my waist.
I sniff once, and chuckle to him,
"Brandon, calm down, it's just Stefan. I could sniff him out anywhere."
"Stefan?" Brandon asks me skeptically, his tone indicating he doesn't believe me.
I nod and smile,
"A vampire from my home town," I look around and step off the porch onto the lush front lawn,
"Stefan! Where are you?" I call out playfully.
I feel my feet lift from the ground slowly, and I begin floating in the air. I scream in surprise and fear, having no control over the way I'm being lifted into the air.
"Debria!" Brandon calls out from behind me.
I look below me and see I'm twenty feet off the ground, in a flash I'm flying through the air, my back hitting a tree, snapping my neck, making everything go black.
** a little bit later **
When I come to consciousness, I realize I'm still in the same spot I was in on the forest ground, the cold ground seeping into my clothes, making them damp.
Pushing myself off the ground I look around me, and see Brandon tied up in front of the house laying on the ground. Getting up quickly I rush to his side at super speed.
Brandon looks up at me, his energy seemed to be fading,
"Debria..It's him, it's Silas. Get out of here."
Tears start to form in my eyes,
"No no, I'm not leaving you. Not now."
"Well, isn't this delightful," A familiar voice hits my ears, making me look up in shock.
