There's a full moon tonight. And I'm currently with Tyler in the Lockwood cellar at the old ruin property from the 1800s.

Tyler looks at me as he starts to hook up all these cables and chains to the walls,

"Tell me you brought the wolfsbane."

I sigh and hold it out in a plastic baggie,

"Yes. Not an easy herb to find. This is it. Also it hurts me too and I don't like that it can burn me."

I give him the wolfsbane bag and he opens it. When he touches it, his skin burns with an audible sizzle, and he yelps and draws in his breath.

"I have a water bottle in my bag, we can mix it in there," Tyler says emotionlessly.

I go and grab the big water bottle from his gym bag and dump some of the crushed herb into it.

Tyler looks at me,

"The guy at the hardware store said this set-up could hold up to 5,000 pounds."

Caroline speaks up from her spot in the corner,

"Is that more than a werewolf can pull?"

"I have no idea," Tyler shrugs as he starts to set the cables up to the wall.

"Hey Tyler, how are you doing?" I ask him a minute later as he sets all this stuff up.

Tyler sighs deeply,

"Still human."

He takes off his shirt and turns away.

Caroline yelps in surprise,

"Oh my god, you're not gonna get naked, are you?"

Tyler frowns at her as he points to his shorts,

"It's elastic around the waist. What should I wear? I don't think it's like The Hulk, where I get to keep my pants."

"You don't," I say openly and Tyler looks at me,

"What? You don't get to keep your pants."

Caroline blushes and looks away.

Tyler is shirtless, and he has chains wrapped around each wrist and ankle, as well as a chain looped around his neck now. All are attached to the walls of the underground cave. I stand there in my shorts and t-shirt waiting for him to start changing so I can transform as well and help him through this as his alpha.

Tyler looks between Caroline and I,

"What time is it?"

Caroline checks her phone,

"It's almost eight. What time does the moon crest or whatever?"

Tyler shudders as the chains touch his body,

"Not for a while. Mason's journal said the first transformation can happen before the moon hits its apex."

Caroline ponders this,

"Does it say how long you'll actually be a wolf?"

"You can be a wolf for a few hours. Maybe more, maybe less," I explain to her and she nods.

He tries to sit down next to her but he can't because of the chains. He takes the bottle with the wolfsbane from by his feet instead.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" I ask him skeptically.

Tyler nods yes,

"Yeah. Mason said it'll diminish my strength so I can't break free."

He starts to drink.
