EDITED

**Three days later**

Barging into the Mikealson manner I walk through the halls quickly, using my nose to find Klaus's scent. My mind has been made up for what I want to do next with my life.

I turn a corner and go into one of the many sitting rooms and come upon a man strung up on what seems to be a medieval torture device. He is unconscious but breathing.

I do not even want to know, I tell myself and shake my head at this situation.

"Ah little wolf, you've returned from the hunt it seems," Klaus's accent hits my ears from behind me.

I turn around slowly, after being a wolf for two days straight it feels weird to walk on two legs.

Klaus's eyes widen at my appearance as he looks me up and down.

Blood dried on my torn blue T-Shirt and face, my feet and legs covered in dirt and healing scratches, my face and hands covered in dry blood. I went deer hunting, and I took down two mountain lions.

"What happened to you little wolf?" Klaus asks, his blue eyes hesitant, his voice low and concerned.

I sigh deeply, brushing my knotted and messy hair out of my face as I blink tears away,

"Damon is in love with Elena. So I ran away. And I'm not staying in Mystic Falls anymore, I just came to you to tell you something."

Klaus seems puzzled by this information,

"I know Damon cared for Elena, but, he had you. Why would he bother to look anywhere else?"

Shrugging at his kind words, I continue the rant I had planned in my head a few hours ago,

"Klaus, at the decade dance, you said you didn't think I was ready to take you up on your offer of traveling the world and experiencing things. I'm still not ready, but I will be soon. There's just something I have to do first," I finish my rant swiftly and as I walk towards him to leave, I stop next to him.

Our eyes lock. Blue against Brown. This energy flowing between the two of us, like a tidal wave.

And without a second thought I hurriedly press my lips to his. It was unintentional, and I absolutely caught myself off guard. But I needed to see something. I needed to know if I could ever potentially come back to him after all the horrible things he's done. I needed to know if he actually felt something for me like he's been telling me this entire time.

It was a second long kiss. So brief, but warm and lovely.

I step back quickly, my voice shocked by what just took place,

"I'm sorry, Niklaus, I shouldn't have done that."

Klaus's eyes become charged with a newfound passion and adoration for me,

"You're right, I should have."

In an instant his lips were back on mine, crushing my worries and making me oblivious to anything but the sounds of our hearts beating and the rhythm of our lips moving against each others. His hands knot in my hair. And I hold his face to mine. Letting my heart take over my head for just a moment.

But then I pull away in a flash, and in a second I'm out the door and back in the woods. Barefoot and alone.

What in the world is wrong with me? I think to myself, Why would I want to kiss Klaus?

Being alone for two whole days must have driven me insane, I conclude after another moment of thought.

It's true. I did want to join Klaus on the road eventually, he was my ticket to seeing the world.
