Chapter 6

"Cool, do you ever get lonely? With being an only child." He asked.

"Sometimes, but that's what I have a best friend for." I said smirking. Thinking of what Rachael would do when I told her.

"Yeah, I guess." He said smiling. He glanced at his watch and looked up surprised.

"Uh I have to go coach wants us there early." He said sighing.

"Okay bye I'll see ya I guess." I said forgetting we came in the same car.

"Uh we came in the same car." He said laughing.

"Ohh right." I said blushing. How could I have forgotten. " So you can just drop me off at my house."

"Yep." He said popping the p.

We walked out and once again he opened the door for me. We drove away and we where pretty much silent for the rest of the ride.

"Well here's your stop." He said sounding like I was on a bus.

"Yep well I guess I'll see you good luck tonight." I said gathering my stuff.

"Yeah, I was thinking since you like skating maybe we could go sometime?" He said getting out and coming around to open my door.

"Thanks." I said getting out." I don't know I'm not supposed to skate, but it shouldn't hurt if I don't do anything to crazy." I said.

"Okay, I don't want you to injure yourself so it's okay if you can't." He said worried.

"No, no I'll be fine." I said reassuring him.

"Okay bye." He said he came over and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. I was so shocked I forgot to hug back at first. I wrapped my arms around him trying to ignore the butterfly's in my stomach.

"Bye." I said with a little wave as we pulled away and he got back in the car.

"Bye." He said with the biggest smile.

I went inside feeling happy. This was the first time I'd felt anything for anyone after Jacob. I still didn't fully trust Jonathan, I mean it was hard to trust anyone after him, but I would try. I had to remind myself not every guy is like Jacob.

"Wow, what's got you on top of the world?" My mom asked as I walked in the door.

"Umm nothing, just happy." I said knowing she probably wouldn't buy it.

"Mhmm I see." She said with a raised eyebrow.

"Mom, seriously it's nothing like that." I said knowing what she was implying.

"I know I'm just playing with you sweetie." She said smiling.

I rolled my eyes at her and went upstairs to change into a more comfortable outfit. I took out my phone and of course had messages from Rachael and one from Jonathan. I looked at Rachael's first.

Bestie: Heyy I'm back where are you?

Bestie: Emmmmmaaaaa

Me: Gosh you are so impatient I was out for coffee

Bestie: With who??

Me: Who said it was with someone?

Bestie: Just a guess

Me: Okay maybe it was with someone ... but please don't freak when I tell you

Bestie: OMG WHOOO?

Me: It may have been Jonathan Toews

Bestie:WTH AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME SOONER!! EMMA OMG HE SO LIKES YOU AHGHFHGH
