Jonathan's P.O.V.
"Jonnnn." Lindsey said from the kitchen.
"What?" I asked.
"What are you still doing on your phone? I thought we were going to hang out today." She said coming into the kitchen with a pout on her face.
"Just texting someone." I said. I texted Emma telling her I had to go and turned off my phone." There." I said putting it in my pocket.
"Who?" She asked sitting beside me.
"Emma." I said knowing she would probably be mad.
"You're always texting her!" She said glaring at me.
"No I'm not always." I said.
"Yes, I bet she's more important to you then me." She said crossing her arms.
"Lindsey we've been over this before. She's just a friend." I said starting to get irritated.
"I know I'm sorry." She said dropping the glare.
I sighed Lindsey had been doing this more often. And it really irritated me, I could be friends with whoever I wanted.
Sure when we first started dating I loved Lindsey, but we've grown apart. I definitely wasn't as close to her as I used to be. She kept getting more clingy and hated when I talked to any other girl, which was annoying as hell.
"So what do you have planned for us today?" She asked throwing me a flirtatious smile.
My mind froze, oh gosh I had forgotten to plan something for today. I had said we would go on a date and now I had completely forgotten.
"Oh... Umm it's a surprise!" I said smiling awkwardly.
"Okay!" She said clapping her hands excitedly.
"Why don't you go get something fancy on." I said hoping to figure something out while she was getting ready.
"Okay babe." She said pecking my cheek.
She left and I whipped out my phone. I dialed Pat's number right away. It rang twice before he picked up.
"This better be an emergency." He said sounding frustrated.
"It is! I told Lindsey I would take her on a date and I forgot to plan one any ideas?" I asked him all in one breath.
"Woah! You're in deep man, well I don't know take her to a nice restaurant or something." He said chuckling.
"This isn't funny! I would but I always take her places like that."
"Oh okay maybe ice skating?" He suggested seriously now.
"Yes! Oh except I told her to wear something fancy."
"Well let's hope it's not to fancy, take her out for lunch afterwards." He said hanging up.
I put my phone away and groaned. Great help he was. I was hoping so badly her 'fancy' wasn't super uncomfortable or awkward to skate in. Not that she skated much anyway, I had taken her a few times and mostly she just complained. Oh, well hopefully she would have fun.
I grabbed my skates, along with the pair I had gotten her that she didn't used much they still looked brand new. I put the skates in the back of my car and went back inside. I sat on the couch and waited for her.
"I'm ready." She said coming down the stairs.
I looked up and my mouth dropped. I guess you could say it wasn't super fancy. She was wearing a v-neck shirt with skinny jeans and a big necklace. I guess she looked pretty good, but she was definitely going to get looks with that shirt.
