I lean against the tree part of my treehouse and I sigh. I remember watching movies about werewolves when I was younger. We are so much different than the movies depict.

Honestly, I kinda wish I was a vampire instead. They are so much cooler than wolves.

'You already have pasty white skin and sharp teeth.'

I laugh, 'That's very true.'

'What are you doing?'

'You saw me like ten minutes ago.'

'So? I still want to know.'

I sigh, 'I'm figuring out what I'm going to do today."

'I have an idea if you hear me out.'

I slam the bouncy ball against my wall, 'What are you thinking?'

'Let me take you out to dinner.'

'When?'

'Hmmm, let's say six o'clock.'

I roll my eyes, as if I magically had a clock in my possession, "When's that?"

'About an hour.' He laughs.

'See you then.'

'See you then.'

I stand up and I open my hatch before dropping down. I wander around for a while before making my way back to my treehouse.

Kale is leaning against my tree wearing a black button-up shirt, a red tie, black skinny jeans, and black dress shoes.

I sigh, "Jeez didn't know we were going somewhere fancy."

He shrugs, "It's not that fancy."

Almost an hour later we were out front of one of the top establishments in the city.

I turn to Kale, "Not fancy? Asshole, this is the definition of fancy."

He shrugs, "Come on let's go in."

I shake my head, "I look like shit."

"I think you look fine."

I roll my eyes and I push the door open, "I hope you realize I'm broke."

He lets me walk in front of him, his hand on my lower back guiding me forward gently, "I know."

A lady greets us at the door, "Hello how may I help you two?"

Kale smiles, "A table for two please."

She pulls on a fake smile, "Do you have a reservation?"

He nods, "It's under Kale Baxter."

I cover my mouth to hold back a laugh, 'Kale Baxter?'

He rolls his eyes. The lady checks her list and smiles, "Right this way you two."

Kale puts his hand around my waist as he leads me to the table. I hate when people touch me.

He pulls the chair out so I sit down. He pushes it in and sits down himself.

"What would you two like to drink?"

Kale smiles at her, "I will take a purple hurricane and what will you like Sky?"

I shrug, "Water I guess."

Kale raises his eyebrow and turns to the waitress, "We'll take a purple hurricane and water. Thank you."

She smiles and walks away.

"Everyone is staring," I whisper as I look down messing with the napkin.

"It's because your so darn cute."

I roll my eyes.

The lady comes back to the table holding our drinks.

She sets down two menus, "Just let me know when you guys have decided."

Kale opens up the menu and begins flipping through it.

I flip through the menu, "This all looks super expensive and really gross."

He chuckles, "I guess you're just used to Mc Donalds."

He motions at the waitress with his fingers so she comes running over, "What may we get you?"

"I would like the lobster pop with a side of butter. Sky what would you like?"

I turn to the waitress, "I would like a huge plate of french fries."

She raises her eyebrow but she writes it down anyway. I'm guessing people don't just order french fries.

'French fries?'

'I fucking love french fries.'
