'You know you should jump back over to my side.' Someone says.

I sit up and I look around confused but there is no one there.

"Who's there!?" I whisper yell before I stand up. I look around again but I can't see or smell anyone.

'I'm in your mind kid, calm down.'

I take a deep breath, "Who is this?"

'I'm the white wolf you saw at the river last night.'

I look down at my leg, "Why are you in my mind?"

I hear a sigh, 'I bit you.'

I growl, "So you're in my mind!?"

'Yes, and I feel everything you feel when I connect to you. May I ask what happened earlier that made you so worked up?'

I begin climbing my treehouse, "No you can't."

'Can you meet me by the river tonight?'

"No, get out of my mind."

I hear a laugh, 'Fine but call me if you need me. You have my number'

I look down at my leg and I sigh. I wish I knew more about wolves, like since when can you talk to another wolf in your mind when they bite you? But then again I am a wolf. So what's normal anymore?

I sit under my tree for almost an hour watching the sun go down. I wonder how many sunsets I have left? Two or two hundred?

I'm glad this forest doesn't get cold often, but when it does it gets below ten degrees. I shiver standing up, this is one of those days.

I climb up my ladder and I strip before shifting into wolf form. My coat is really thick so it keeps me warm on cold nights like this.

One downside of being a fast wolf is that I get tired quicker than most wolves.
