I look around for a way to escape but there is only a door. Jeez, what am I gonna do with a door? I laugh, god I'm so funny.

"What are you laughing at?" Chris asks.

I turn away from him and I roll my eyes. What an asshole.

"You're lucky I'm one of the nice kidnappers in this world because I should've smacked you for that comment."

I sigh, "Lucky me."

I can feel the eyes on the back of my head.

"I'm hungry." I say turning to Chris.

He raises his eyebrow, "You weren't hungry ten minutes ago."

"Well, I am now."

He rolls his eyes and stands up before walking out of the room without closing the door. I stand up and I walk towards the door. I don't think of anything, can't have him reading my mind.

I walk out of the door taking deep breaths, my leg hurts like a bitch. I can't have him feeling my fear. Almost suddenly I get grabbed from behind.

I groan, "Put me down!"

Chris carries me all the back into the door before dropping me on the ground. I grunt and I go to get up but Chris crawls on me.

"I told you not to run away." He says pulling his knife out.

I wiggle underneath him, "No you said not to shift or to run. Technically I walked out of the room."

He presses his knife on my cheek cutting in deep, "You're right. I guess I have to be more specific next time."

He steps off of me and sits back down in his chair. I sit up and touch my cheek. I wipe the blood off of my cheek and I sigh. The downside to the healing is everything scars. I have so many scars on my back and my arms its scary.

I don't know why but my heart aches and so does my brain. I miss Kale. No, I don't, shut up. He's an Alpha and I'm a mutt. I'm even lower than a mutt. That's it.

"What are you thinking about?" Chris asks snapping me out of my thoughts.

I look up at Chris, "Don't you know?"

He shakes his head, "You're blocking me from reading it."

I smile, "I'm thinking about running away."

He stands up quickly.

I laugh, "Kidding, I'm just kidding. I'm thinking about home."

He sits back down, "What's your home like?"

I scoot back so I'm leaning against one of the poles, "I lived in a large three-story house with a large backyard and a pool. I loved my pool, it's how I met the guy who bit me."

"Kale?" He asks crossing his arms.

I nod, "Yup Kale."

He smiles, "Is that with a c or a k?"

"K, I think. I don't know him that well honestly."

He smiles, "That's interesting."

"Why did you kidnap me?"

He shrugs, "I saw you and I wanted you. So I took you."

I roll my eyes, "When can I go home?"

He shrugs, "Maybe a year, maybe never. Who knows."
