The Heart Broken Mate

Chapter Nine

I wake up and I almost shit my pants. Blondie is sitting in front of me just watching.

"Holy shit how did you find me?" I ask as I sit upholding my chest.

He rolls his eyes, "I followed you."

I sigh, "Shouldn't you be out doing Alpha things?"

He shrugs, "My pack thinks I'm out hunting."

"Then you should go hunt, leave me alone."

"You don't mean that Skyler." He says calmly.

"And another thing! How do you know my name?"

"You told me Skyler."

I shake my head, "No I didn't."

"Well, then Leo told me."

I laugh slightly, "I only told Leonardo my name was Sky."

He throws his hands up, "I guess I just pieced it together."

I roll my eyes, that's such bullshit and he knows it. What a creep.

I sigh, "Since you're here already why don't you go get me some food?"

He stands up, "I'll be back in a bit."

I watch as he crawls out of my treehouse and he jumps down. I roll my eyes and I change into a green baggy shirt and skin-tight blue skinny jeans.

I lie down on my back playing with a rubber bouncy ball until he comes back with a platter of fruit. There are raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, and some wild berries. 

I laugh picking up a ripe strawberry, "Where do you get all this fruit?"

He shrugs, "Found it."

I take a bite of the strawberry and I smile, "Thanks blondie."

He raises his eyebrow, "Blondie?"

"It's not like I know your name."

He laughs, "It's Kale."

"You're named after a vegetable?" I say holding back a laugh.

He rolls his eyes, "You're named after something above us."

"Still better than Kale."

He laughs, "I have to get going. See you later Sky."

He opens my hatch and jumps down. He walks away towards the river and disappears. It takes me almost two hours to finish all the fruit. I sigh I'm really glad he was here this morning because I didn't feel like hunting today and I was really hungry but he needs to learn to knock.

I am glad that I woke up to him and not anyone else because I was obviously so tired that I didn't hear him come up and I even forgot to latch my hatch.
