"Hey, Mr. Reynolds," I knocked at the Councilor's opened door, "You need anything?"

He looked up to me from his paperwork, "No. I don't think so. Don't worry. Like I said for the fifth time today, Angel, I'll tell you when I need it."

Actually, this was all part of my plan. Seventh hour was my aide hour and the last for the day. I hadn't been getting creepy messages from Zero since this morning. No creepy signs as well on who he was.

And now, seventh hour, it was my chance to get a look at the students' names and code names for this school activity, and I planned to earn it. I was not just gonna straight up ask, "Hey. Can I take a peek on the code names?"

No. I was just gonna get a straight up no for that.

I had to do something, you know? Make them think that I deserved it, at least.

"Okay," I told him, "Is it okay if I could go see the office if they need help?"

Mr. Reynolds thought for a second. "Yeah. Of course. Just be sure to come back, I might need help by then."

"Yes, Sir," I smiled and walked out of the Councilor's office to across the hall where the secretaries were.

I placed my hand on the counter, feeling the cold and hard marble top.

"Hey Angel," one of the secretaries, Mari, greeted without looking away from her computer.

"Hello. Do you need help with anything?" I asked them, hopeful.

Sheila stood up from her desk, her red hair swayed on a ponytail, and grabbed packets of papers from the photocopier. "Yes. Perfect timing, Angel."

She stacked the papers in front of me on the counter, organizing it carefully.

"This," she said, stacking a pile of paper vertically, "Is for Ms. Terrence." She wrote her name on a post-it note and stuck it on top of the pile.

I nodded at her instructions.

"This," she stacked a different pile of paper on top of the other pile horizontally, "Is for Phillipa."

I gave her another nod as she wrote Phillipa on the post-it note, doing the same thing.

This went on for five more teachers, then I was on my way to deliver papers to different teachers and classrooms.

I figured that this could be a way for me to see the students. You know, if anything seemed suspicious about them. . .acting funny cause he might know my secret. . . stuff like that.

I carried the weight of the papers in my arms as I walked around the school.

The first classroom I went to was Hayes's. I hated going in there. He was not really a fan of being disturbed in the middle of his class just for a pile of papers.

It was tough going in there. I thought I'd never go out alive. But I did. And I managed to deliver to the other three teachers. And every time I did, I looked around the classroom, studying the students' faces meticulously.

And none of them looked at me interestingly. Nor had a joking look.

Did he not care already? Or was he not one of the students I saw? Anyway, one class left.

Terrence's. She was not really one of my favorite teachers. If I had to choose a teacher to save between him and Hayes, I'd have to go with Hayes. Not in a weird way or anything.

Did I know anyone in Ms. Terrence's class that was in her seventh hour? I had him 2nd with Eve, Lexi had her first hour. Seventh hour..

My eyes widened. My heart started to beat faster. My self-confidence slowly started to fade.
