I almost thought the game would never end. One thing's for sure, though, I was hungry. I didn't even care who wins anymore. I just wanted to eat.

I was really hungry.

Princess and Phillip were the only ones left. Which meant both teams had only one shot to have free dinner. Marge, Maven, and I-- Jay had to leave because he still needed to buy something for his mom--were standing in front of a wall that was part of Walmart, while the remaining contenders were in the middle of a parking lot. It was empty, of course. It was that part of the parking lot where nobody wanted to use.

Although I thought that Jay left so that he could escape the punishment if, no, when they lose.

We watched as Princess and Phillip tried to tag each other out. No matter how ridiculous, immature, and childish it may seem to the other people who might've seen, it was a matter of life or death for the five of us.

"Please just tag him out already! I am gonna die of starvation!" I yelled. If Princess didn't kill my smoothie, I wouldn't be hungry right now.

"I'm trying!" Princess responded as she was backing away from Phillip.

"Phillip! Just lose!" I told Phillip.

"What? And buy you girls free food? Not a chance."

What did I expect anyway? Maybe I was thinking that he'd let down his competitiveness just this once since it was Princess he was up against. They looked like they knew each other pretty well.

Yeah. I mean, I knew they were good friends so there wasn't anything unusual about knowing each other well.

I would spare you the gory details of, I admit, the girls' defeat. In the end, Maven and Phillip chose one the best restaurants in town. Marge insisted that she paid for it. I said that I could help her out a bit but she gave a firm no. I felt bad that she'd have to pay for everything we ate so I just ordered something not that expensive.

The boys, on the other hand, went all out.

Well, so much for being hungry.

The next day, Phillip was sitting alone at the bench where I took him the day he was sick. He was looking down on his phone as he held it between his knees. It was lunch break and I was waiting for Maven by the doorway. I started to walk towards him, maybe all three of us can get our lunches together, just like before.

But before I even got to him, Princess approached him and sat by him. I stopped right where I was.

She placed a paper bag on the remaining space on the bench and took out a tupperware from it. I was far from them but I could still see what was inside the tupperware. They were minipancakes. Of course, they were minipancakes.

Princess handed Phillip the tupperware and he took it from her, putting his phone aside.

Oh and guess what, the syrup wasn't raspberry flavor. And it didn't explode.

Phillip must appreciate that sooooo much.

From the looks of it, Phillip wasn't eating lunch with us today. Princess and him were having brunch outside.

How cute. They were having a little picnic.

What a way to reunite... after all these years. I guess. . four years to be exact.

Well, wouldn't it be uncomfortable eating food just on a bench? It would be better if they ate with a table. Maybe with us too inside the lunch room.
