I just stare at Ursula as she cries on my feet. I then realize what I'm doing, how much of an asshole I'm being. "Fine." I said coldly as I drop the puppet in front of her. She immediately picks it up and place it on her hand. I walk to Pluto's body. Ursula follows me meekly.
"I'm sorry, Ursula." I mutter, "It's okay, we're sorry for getting Lily killed." she mutters while wiping her tears away. "No, you didn't kill Lily. I know you tried to stop them from shooting. I just used you as a scapegoat because I didn't want to accept the fact I was the one that killed her." I confess, "Ursula is a bunny faunus not a goat faunus, silly." said the puppet. "Yeah, silly me." I mutter.
Yang's POV
After hearing about Derek's drugs habit and leaving the hospital I was furious. He had drugs in our room! In our room! "I can't believe this! He had that stuff in the room the whole time!" I exclaim, "Yang, calm down! Derek has been through a lot in his life. Can you really blame him for using drugs as comfort?" Ruby said in Derek's defense.
"He lied to you and if he needed comfort he should've went to us! His friends!" I exclaim. Ruby's face turned sad when I mentioned Derek lying to her. Emma then walked in the library with someone. "Hey guys, look who decided to join Beacon." Emma said, reveling Ursula. "Hi." she meekly greeted. "Heyo!" exclaim the puppet.
"You found Ursula?" asked Blake. "Derek did, for once he actually took someone's advice." Emma said, "Where is his he?" I ask sternly, "I know you're angry at him, but you should let him rest. He's confused, he killed a friend and spared someone he hated." explained Emma.
I turn to Ursula, "Do you know where Derek is?" I ask. Ursula just nods no, but the puppet thought differently. "He's back in his dorm-" Ursula covered the puppets mouth. I get off my seat and started marching over there. Ruby catches up and tries to stop me. "Yang, calm down!" I just move her out the way.
I slam open the door to see Derek sleeping on my bed with Buffy laying on top of him. "Come Yang! He has one arm! It won't be a fair fight!" exclaim Ruby. I grab a textbook, walk up next to him, raised it in the air, and exclaim, "Hey junkie, wake up!" I then slam the textbook on the floor causing a loud bang. Buffy hops under one of the beds.
Derek eyes shot open with fear and he crawled into the corner of my bed. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now!" I shouted. He didn't respond, he just stayed there, hugging his knees. "Well?!" I exclaim. No response. "Yang, calm down. Take a good like at him." I turn to see Blake had finally caught up.
I take a closer look at him. I notice he has tears forming in his eyes and I start to hear his whimpering. I then realize what I had done. "Derek?" I mutter, "Derek, you still with me?" I softly ask.
Derek's POV
I was laying down eyes closed. I was taking a nap on one of the beds, hoping when I wake I'll be able to process on what the hell I'm doing with my life. I then hear a loud bang. Followed by someone calling out my name. "Derek!" he exclaimed, "DEREK!" he yelled out.
"Derek! Please don't leave me! I have kids!" I open my eyes to see a White Fang soldier bleeding out. I remember now, this was my first battle. We were in one of abandoned towns in vale ambushing Atlas soldiers.
I run up to him and put pressure on the wound. "Medic! I need a fucking medic over here!" I yell. After a couple seconds of nobody coming, a grenade lands a couple feet from us.
Before I could react the grenade explodes and sends me flying. I lay down dazed. I slowly inspect the hell of my first battle. A faunus on the dirt floor crying out for his mom while trying to prevent his guts from spilling out, an Atlas soldier with one arm was ignoring the battle. Instead he was looking for something, he picked the thing he was looking for, (which turned out to be his missing arm) walked up to a medic, and causally asked for his arm to be fixed.
