Waking Up in the Real World

Chapter 15 (version Levi)

I got home and explained the situation to the others. I cleaned out a few of my old binders and packed a pencil case for each of them.

Then I pre-packed a lunch for all of them.

Man, I feel like their mom.

I got Hanji to help me with my biology homework so she could learn along with me. Tomorrow we should be using microscopes, so that should be fun.

My mom doesn't get home until after dinner, so I'm usually in charge of finding something for myself to eat. Now I had eight extra mouths to feed. Scrambled eggs for everyone!

I've been teaching Levi how to cook. He seems to really enjoy it. Especially when I make him wear my apron covered in cupcakes that says "I've got a sweet ass."

I watched as he cooked the eggs. He looked so concentrated and focused on making the eggs perfect. He didn't even realize that I was leaning my head in towards his.

I kissed his cheek.

He spun around fast as lightning. In fact, it was a little bit frightening.

Before he could say anything, Eren entered the room yawning. "So, what's for dinner?"

I smirked at Levi as he glared back, light pink dusting his cheeks.

"Eggs," I giggled.

"Um, okay then..."

"WAaaaaait. Levi! Are you BLUSHING?" Guess who just happened to walk in when she was supposed to be studying my biology textbook with Moblit.

"No, shitty glasses."

"Yessss! You made a move on him, didn't you [F/n]! I told you he would like you back."

Now it was Levi's turn to smirk at me. Any leverage I had was gone.

"Uh, um, who's ready for dinner?"

I gently shoved Levi out of my way as I took the frying pan and distributed nine portions of food.

He was still looking at me snuggly.

Darn it.

We all ate and laid down after dinner in the living room. The deal was that Annie, the other two, Hanji, and Moblit shared my bedroom while I slept in the living room with Levi, Eren, and Jean.

As Eren and Jean fought over the couches, I settled on the floor and cuddled up in my blanket. Unfortunately, I gave all the other blankets to the ones sleeping in my room. Eren and Jean got one each. That left...

Great.

I looked up to find Levi standing over me. Without a word, he laid down on the blow up mattress next to me.

"Aren't you cold?" I asked.

"I'm fine, brat. As much as I know you would love to share that blanket with me."

I smiled into the darkness and silently draped half of the blanket over the short man.

He didn't say anything, he just rolled over to face me, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.

I couldn't rest after everything that had happened. Seconds later I found that I was being pulled into the arms of a sleeping Corporal.

Cuddled into his chest, I finally fell asleep.
