I had decided to take my project home to work on. I had a lot to catch up on and was truly inspired.

I taught Jean how to use a computer in our HOPE class and he just played pewdiepies tuber simulator on my phone while I did my work.

I held his hand on the way to cyber security, knowing that was the worst class when it came to the bullying.

But nothing really happened.

I walked in to find a note on my desk that read "c u after scool."

I rolled my eyes at the note and stuffed it in my pocket. Jean was practically begging to see it, but there really wasn't a point in letting him see it.

The class went by quickly. Miss Jackson taught us nothing. And at the end of the class, she went out the back door.

Jean followed me out of class and I headed in the opposite direction as the gym.

"Where are we going?"

"We're supposed to meet the others for the bus ride home, remember?"

He grabbed my shoulder and spun me around. We stood in the middle of the current of teenagers who parted around us like it was the red sea.

"What about the guys? The ones I was going to beat up for you?"

"I... I don't know if I can do this." My anxiety was building up higher and higher just thinking about it.

He tilted my chin up to face him. "Look at me, [F/n]. You can get through this. You won't feel any of this worry one hour from now, so don't stress. I'll take care of you."

I looked into his amber eyes, feeling myself drowning in them. Why do I suddenly want to kiss him?

Instead I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. This took him by surprise as he hesitated before wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Thank you," I whispered into his shoulder.

"We are supposed to be dating, remember? Now let's go beat up some assholes."
